Huge Spider Found in Manchester.

http://www.hoax-slayer.com/images/giant-manchester-spider-image.jpg

Apparently it was in the Manchester papers today. Can't verify the size though. Looks big.

Enjoy.

Oh, apparently, they called out the firemen and they wouldn't go near it.

It's hard to believe when the website contains the word HOAX.

Looks like a huntsman spider to me, most likely Heteropoda venatoria?

Relatively it's not that big, Heteropoda maxima can have a leg span of 30cm.

what type is it? I'm not clicking on the link. We found a HUGE huntsman spider in our kitchen once. It's leg span was probably that of an average size side plate.
I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.
What's the really dark bit, it looks like one massive eye!

Well then.

I think I would die in shock if I found that in my house. I'd have to move!

WHY did I open it even after reading your comment.
I live in Manchester as well! :s-smilie:
Why on Earth did they call the fire brigade? Did they try to kill it with a flamethrower and accidently burn their house down or something?
