That's cool  so how easy is it to socialise with people in other corridors to your own or do people not really do that?

No no it's very easy to all socialise across different corridors, but you'll find by default you'll be closer to those in your corridor as you spend most of your time with them. :h:

Does anybody know what the flat/corridor layouts are at Dawson Hall? Like how many people per flat/corridor and how the numbering system works etc?

Hey, I'm staying at Dawson Hall too! What room are you in?

You wouldn't post your home address on a public forum, so please have the sense to not post your uni address on here either
when do we pay the £50 for dbs. I shown my ID in person and filled out the form online after which was in the email. But there was no option to pay so bit confused
guys, does anyone know what would be a good enough UKCAT score to be considered for undergrad at Barts? I've wanted to go here since I was a kid, but I'm not sure if my UKCAT score is good enough.

Where is the link in the email? There was only one link in my email where I entered the username and password option they gave me to confirm my address history for the last 5 years

Are you a Barts student? If so, could you please tell me about the extent to which they use PBL? I've heard it's minimal, and most of the course is traditional. I think that appeals to me, having a lecture led course with some variety.

Also, I haven't heard good things about the location. I love East London but apparently it's not great to live there? Also heard bad things about Queen Mary, but Barts seems to be separate in terms of location and quality?

Course is not traditional, PBL plays a relatively big role. Fun Med alone has a PBL every week.

East London is the poorest part of London and Tower Hamlets is the poorest borough. If you're coming from a middle class family, it will be a slight shock but it's not awful. It's a great part of London to live in and you can find some really nice places to live (you can also find some awful ones). You need to be sensible when out at night, but you won't get stabbed walking down the street in the day or anything.

Queen Mary is a good university. It's relatively unknown for a London university but it is good. It's part of the Russel Group. A lot of it's courses are in the top 10 in the country, with a few number 1. People like to hate on it because it appears to be the Coldplay of London universities.

Barts Med School has two campuses but you also use Mile End in first year for dissection.

Barts cut off a few years ago (2011) for undergrad was 642.5. Last year (2012) for grad was 687.5.

right, so I need to take my GCSE results slip and my ID forms to barts to show them, then complete the new part of the crb they'll send me? Pre-enrollment forms and all are done, so I need to print that and take it with me with ID to enrollment. is that everything chaps? or have I forgotten something. too many emails!

Done the health questionnaire form? If so, yeah you're good.

Also, if you are taking your driving licence as ID, remember both parts! I saw two people in front of me forget their paper counterpart.

I haven't done this pre-enrolment form.. but I'm a graduate and I sent them my transcript - since I have to show them my original certificate anyway, can I just wait till I get down there or should I do something sooner than that..?

I think you're meant to send the pre-enrolment form with your transcript. But if you've already sent it, I'm sure they'll work it out because it basically repeats whats on your certificate.

I achieved 460 points for my A levels. I am on my gap year and taking CPE ( grade A : 140 points ) My tutor has predicted me for getting an A in CPE.
Would Barts admission take in account my predicted A in CPE? Would my tariff points be 460 or 600? Thank you!
