Too broad.
What are you planning to do with it?

Race car or street car?

Road car got to be a 20 odd year old BMW / Jaguar.
Race car? I suppose the quickest thing would be something like a self built FED for the strip or an old 328 for drifting / sprints / circuits.

Just idle curiousity

Basically what's the fastest car for the cheapest price ??

Not planning to buy just wondering
can pick up a 190 BHP Celica or a Corolla T sport 9same VVTL-I engine) for about £1500 although the celica is a little lighter iirc

Not for a turbo'd one. You are aware that they aren't turbo'd as standard?

Would love you to find me one as that's what i'm actually on the look out for.. A turbo conversion alone costs for that a grand!

Christ, the prices have sky rocketed! They used to be around 2k for a good mx5 turbo.

A neighbour of mine is selling his for £8k twin-turbo manual UK car. Absolutely stunning condition and only 32k miles since 1992 since it is a K-reg. Claims that's the going rate for good ones.
