Birthday Present

My sister is going on a gap year to Africa in August, yet she turns 18 soon! I want to get her a little gift bag of things she will like for the year. I'm thinking a bumbag filled with lip balm, emery boards, hairbands and things. Is there anything you experienced travellers would of enjoyed and would be appropriate to take? She is not very girly or into fashion so the essentials is what I'm giving her.
That is a great idea! If she isn't into girly or fashion items, you can look up how is it like in the places she is going to and figure out what essentials she will need! :biggrin:
I know this is a bit of topic, but what company is she travelling with, Im looking for a travel buddy to go Africa with as I dont want to go myself.
