COSCA Counselling skills while studying Psychology.

Hi guys, I'm new here so not sure if I'm posting this in the right place.

I'm currently going into 3rd year university and study psychology.

I'm really interested in counselling psychology, and want to maybe do a post grad after my under grad degree.

But in order to get into the post grad, I need to have this COSCA counselling skills certificate. I don't want to take a year out after my honours to do a course for one night a week.

So I'm wondering if anyone's done this counselling skills course, and do they think I could do it while studying for my third year, or will that be too much work?

I don't want it to hinder my university grade so I'm in a pickle.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi! I did it in third year and found it totally manageable and really fun. I recommend it!

No problem! :five:

If you have any questions, let me know. I found it a great way to learn practical skills alongside Psych which is very theoretical. Employers like it too because it's a bit different, and doing two qualifications at once shows you can manage your time well.

Also, you meet really interesting people!
