I always listen to music at the gym as it totally motivates me, I like to listen to sexy r n b style music because it makes me feel really upbeat and positive. I also like to listen to things like snow patrol, fratellis and hard fi as well and when im cooling down I like listening to Coldplay as they really calm me down after ive been all worked up. Also got a bit of beethoven on my ipod which I sometimes listen too, bit of a diverse mix hey
I enjoy listening to music and moving however I haven't got enough coordination to enjoy dance I get distressed and frustrated that I can't make my body do what I want.
However I am perfectly capable of using ALL the machines at the gym without feeling stupid, uncoordinated and a failure. Combine this with music and I have exercise I enjoy.
Does that mean I'm bad? Does that mean I'm not a real sports person? Does this mean I should be finding some other sport to do? No. It just means I'm not a jock like you.
if i aint got my ipod on me, then i just cant do anything at the gym, i become so lazy! and it aint even like a can watch the teles on the treadmills n that cos i live in the free weights section. and theres nuffin worse than a couple massive geezers gruntin for hours on end, as though we dont already know they are there!
