mydriasis and mydriatic drugs.

hellew. Two of my lecture pages are contradicting eachother. I shall type the exact words it says.
on one lecture page it says:-
"dilator pupillae - smooth muscle arranged radially- stimulation of sympathetic fibres---> contraction of radial muscle---->dilation of pupil = mydriasis.
but on another lecture page it says:-
Mydriatic drugs
Muscarinic antagonist
atropine (tropicamide) - passive mydriasis (loss of mitotic drive to constrictor pupillae)

is mydriasis the dilation of pupil or the constriction on pupil?

Parasympathetic innervation constricts pupil (occulomotor nerve)...

Blockade of parasympathetic innervation (by atropine) dilates pupil...

This is passive dilation (passive mydriasis)...
