CGP vs. York Notes for AQA English Language and Literature?

I've decided that instead of revising from my rather extensive but scrappy collection of notes, I will buy a number of revision guides to help me through GCSE English.

My top priority is Carol Ann Duffy, Simon Armitage and pre-1914 poetry, as this is what I didn't do so well in for my mock exams. Along with this, I thought a guide for Poems From Different Cultures would be useful, and although I find Lord of the Flies far less challenging, I guess it would do little harm to buy a revision guide for this as well.

In addition, I think I might benefit from knowing a few key things to keep in mind when writing about media texts, writing to describe, and writing to persuade.

With the above in mind, which revision guides would people recommend? Obviously I can buy a mix if York Notes and CGP aren't consistent on their own.

Thanks
