Has anyone taken a module on James Joyce's Ulysses?

Hope this is in the right place.

I'm trying to decide what to do for my final year of my English degree and I'm stuck between a general course on modern Irish writing or Ulysses. They're both a semester long.

So anyone that has taken similar: is it worth it? What was the pace like? Would you recommend it?

Cheers
I'm currently preparing for my exam on Ulysses this Friday and I'm not going to lie: it's hard! But so beautiful if you can get into it. Loads of people hated it but I found it so interesting to explore. Try reading a little of it--doesn't matter where in the book, there is no set order to read it in-- to have a taste. I love poetry so have loved studying the language, but it depends what you're into really!
