hi can someone please help me on question 4)c Ex 4E? this is the edexcel S1 book

i tried to do this but is wrong
(35-30)x5+(40-35)x10= 75

You've worked out the frequency density, as shown from part b, you work out the no. of people per frequency density which is 2. Therefore you just multiply your answer by 2.

Look at the people who threw less than 10

(10-0)x2 = 20 but you are told it is 40

The area you have found for the bar between 30 and 40 is 75unit^2.

We know 1unit^2 = 2 people
So 75unit^2 = 75 * 2 =150people

Common sense.

If 20unit^2 = 40 people
1unit^2 = 40/20 people
1unit^2 = 2people

Do you get it?
