PGCE in America ?
When I graduate I'm looking to do a pgce. I really want to teach in America but if I do a pgce in England then I will have to teach here for at least three years then get extra training in America. If I do a pgce in America will I still be able to teach in Engalnd if I change my mind?
Does America offer PGCEs?
It all depends on the school I think.
if you have to get extra training in America to be able to teach over there it's quite possible the same would apply here as they're obviously not the same qualification.Bearing in mind that the teaching strategies, the year groupings and the school groupings are different over there than to over here.
With regards to teaching in America, i thought you could get the PGCE, do your NQT and then work abroad? so that's only 2 years here.
