I can't decide - it depends where else I get offers from. I loved it on the open day and I'd love to go to any one of my five. I think I'll put decisions off until I get replies from all of them - but I really don't know yet!

Where would you like to go for your firm?
Well......that's an interesting question. In a fantasy world Oxford would be my firm, but it's much more likely that either Exeter, Royal Holloway or Bristol will end up being my first choice
Thank you very much for your help I appreciate your efforts a lot, although I have already written one of the essays and started on the second...
I´m at a German school, so we can`t specialise in certain subjects I do only have two History lessons per week, so it`s quite daunting to apply to an English uni where all the other applicants have taken an A-Level in History... Well, I have to make the most of my situation, as I can`t change it
Good luck for your application!!!!
Ah I see good luck to you too!! You should check out some of the English exam board websites for History and maybe try and look at some of the text books .. what topics did you choose to write about?? And what universities are you applying to?? As long as you show a great enthusiasm and aptitude for your subject, an A Level isn't really necessary

Thanks for the advice I have written one essay about the failure of the Weimar Republic. The other one is about national identity and national heros, such as Arminius the Cheruscan for Germany and Jeanne d´Arc for France. I do really hope the topics are ok

aah i remember learning about the Weimar Republic in GCSE yeah they sound really interesting, especially the one about the national identity cos that kind of coincides with the Great Man Theory and good university choices!!! I'm applying next year but I'm going up to Cambridge in 2 days to look round the colleges which college you applying to?? Right so you wanna become a History teacher?

I have chosen Selwyn Such a beautiful and peaceful college! But the others aren`t bad either I visited some of them in September, and it was really hard to decide which one I like best. I hope you´ll have a great time at Cam! Do you have any favourite colleges yet?
Actually I don`t think I want to become a teacher-but still I would like to to something related to Education. What about you?
Thankyou!!! I'm going there tomorrow and I am SOOOO excited!!! well from reading some of the prospectuses I can't really decide - but I have a feeling it's gonna be hard to pick a favourite!! I'm a lover of old architecture so I like the look of colleges like King's and Corpus Christi, but I again I don't even know if Cambridge is the right university for me until I actually go there !!!
Well, I definitely wanna do History, but I've gone off the idea of becoming a teacher atm I want to manage a historical house - I already volunteer on saturdays as a room steward at Chartwell the home of Winston Churchill, and that's got me really interested in conservation and museum work
So have you heard anything from Cambridge or any other universities about interviews???

*although this will be forgiven if they would just give me an offer
I just got an email from UCL saying I've passed the first phase of consideration and that they're going to give me an answer at the latest by February :
