I'm looking to get a new USB flash drive, i don't want anything with a huge capacity, i want something quite cheap, but has a fast read / write speed (Or tell me your opinions on the flash drive you currently have)
I bought this one; http://www.ebuyer.com/product/141674 Small, sleek, not very expensive and it has a little hole thingy at the top so you attach a neck band (whatever they're called) to it edit: write/read speed is quite fast

i have rep to give for an incentive
Having just taken a look out of curiosity, you can buy just about can any flash drive nowadays for under £10, unless you're looking for large capacity (for a flash drive)
When you say you don't want a massive capacity, how much do you imagine you'll need? Like I say, the prices are dropping off fast; I would avoid the cheapest end of the market for obvious reasons.
You should take a look on amazon at the Freecom "databar" range, which seem to be pretty solid, yet none-too-expensive. Ranging from 2Gb to 16Gb and from £5 to £20 respectively. I don't imagine you'll want a 16Gb flash drive but I'll let you be the judge of that.
Otherwise, try one of the Kingston series... which are much the same deal really. I'm not too sure if there is really that much difference between the good brands making flash drives. Even some of the cheaper ones work very well, but if you're going for the likes of a supermarket purchase, check the statistics to make sure it runs at full speed.

yup i had a look at that but the 8GB version for ~ £10. the thing is at these low prices, delivery takes up quite a large chunk of the total cost. that is why i am thinking of getting one from play and not ebuyer

How much is it with Play.com? Oh, don't you get a 10% student discount over there too?
I've got a standard 4gb cruiser, its a year old and i've had no trouble (apart from a few PEBKAC errors). seems fairly fast (i don't think you'll get much which is noticeably faster over usb)
You've got a winner there, I think. So long as the OP wants a biometric flash drive. Personally, I'd have no use for that level of security, since all I ever carry on my flash drive/ ext. HD is music and movies anyway.
