i suggest english language, ive just done my A2 exam in it. the whole course has been really interesting and i highly recommend it. whatever you do, dont do the combined course as im told that it has no reputation for university so choose either lit or lang, not both. Good luck!!

Thats ******** i applied to 6 top Unis none of them cared, english is english. I heard that unis dislike lang more then combined so its all subjective. Do what you feel happy with.

If you want to do English at uni you need either Lit or the combined A level.
Language by itself is a bit of an extravagance.

Literature is far more valued by everyone.

literature all the way - but my classes havent necessarily been "fast" i think it sparks off great debates as well
and you are looking at the texts which have shaped our society
unless you have a particular desire to study language in detail and on its own

I loved combined, and it hasn't stopped me going to uni to study lit. If you have any questions about the AQA course, feel free to Pm me.

I would also like to point out that there are now 3 threads asking exactly the same question. xx
