What's student life actually like at Bath Spa? What are your experiences?

If you go to Bath Spa, could you tell me what it's actually like to be a student there? My questions are...

* What's the atmosphere like on campus? (Loud, quiet, friendly, lively, peaceful, has a community feel, people keep to themselves etc.)
* What's the student union like? Do they constantly arrange different events or not, and would you say that the union is a big part of the majority of students' social lives or not?
* What are halls like? Do different halls have different reputations, and if so, what are they? Do they have an atmosphere of everyone mixing together, or do people keep to themselves?
* Which are the local haunts and hangouts for the student body? (The ones which are most popular.)

Sorry for all the questions, I just want an idea of what student life is actually like there, rather than all this prospectus-type information.

i love it here in all honesty. on campus it feel really homely and its nice being able to escape from people by going for a walk roung the lakes or in the fields. the su ... honestly? after freshers week ive hardly been up there at night only now and again they have an ok night but its kind of rare however the new activities officer has promised more better nights next year ... the su is good for during the day tho and they do pizza delivery to halls on tuesdays and thursdays which is pretty awesome
i live in harington and i love it  yeah the rooms are small but you can get between all the blocks so its really easy to socialise with loads of people ... if you wanted to live in some where like temple then you get a larger room but your block is seperate from everyone else ... friends i have from that kind of accomodation said it was really hard to get to know people from other blocks cos your confined ... but im slightly bias haha. theres no real reputations in terms of halls although there is usually abit of banter between harington and hiscocks simply because they face eachother.
in terms of the night life i think it is purely based on what your into music wise. i have have two favourite clubs which are Second bridge which is usually packed out most nights and po na na which is alot more quiet and far smaller but it depends what night you go out on. if you want a big night out theres club xl and weir lounge but they are huge clubs and you tend to lose your friends if your not careful. theres loads of little bars and pubs for you to explore too ... oh and if you like live music theres moles which is pretty good too

* What's the atmosphere like on campus? In halls it's alright, pretty isolated from what I've heard. The campus overall is really friendly, it's like a family. Because it's such a small university, you seem to recognise everyone (even if you don't know them). If you need something, it's the type of Uni where you can go up to someone and ask.

* What's the student union like? Pretty lame if I'm being honest. It's great for freshers week but you will go out to town and realise that it's way more awesome there. The union nights are quite samey and towards the end of the year, the only thing on is meetings. The SU is great for lunch time, yummy chips and pizzas along with a shop that isn't too expensive and a little coffee area. On Thursdays lunchtime, the vicar comes over with soup and cheese for £1.50, it is AMAZING!!! You also have comfy seats and it's very spacious for meetings or societies.

* What are halls like? Haha the on campus halls have friendly Banter "Pope til I die", "Harington Forever" etc. From what I've heard, you kinda make a group with your halls. I was in Waterside and it's like a big party down there, you get to know everyone on your floor, then your block and have parties to outdo the other blocks, super fun. The problem with on campus is that you're quite isolated from town. The buses lie, they come every 20/30 minutes so it's annoying if your trying to get back after a night.

* Which are the local haunts and hangouts for the student body? Club XL is where most my friends went. Every Thursday for Glamourpuss, you'd bump into the majority of the university. I'm not a fan of clubbing so I'd go to Discord in PoNaNas on a Wednesday which is a Metal/Rock club and so much fun.
