I just watched My Name is Khan. Not entirely sure if this counts but it should - it make me shed a tear.

My name is khan is very upsetting... I would say it's worse than some bits of slumdog millionaire...

I wonder how many people are having orgasms right now...

Quinze.
A favourite genre of mine, so:

1. A Bridge Too far.
2. Black Hawk Down.
3. Where Eagles Dare.
4. Dambusters.
5. The Battle of the River Plate.

Special Mentions:

Master & Commander (one of my all time favourites but is it a war movie?)

Kelly's Heroes. Really a heist movie, very funny.
Platoon
Full Metal Jacket
Das Boot
Saving Private Ryan
Born on the fourth of July

1)BBC News.
2)Sky News.
3)...

But seriously, i havent seen many except black hawk down which was good, i need to watch more.

BBC News etc... you make a good point though :s-smilie:
1) Black Hawk Down
2) Battle of Britain
3) Band of Brothers (not technically a film, but fantastic)
4) Jarhead
5) Tears of the Sun

I think the opening 20 minutes of Saving Private Ryan are very good, but the rest of the film turns into "generic WW2 film".
1) Full metal jacket (cannot stop watching this one repeatedly)
2) Great escape (favourite childhood film, none of this disney nonsense)
3) Deer hunter
4) Bridge on the river kwai
5) Grave of the fireflies (saddest film ive ever seen, surprising since its an animation)

Saving Private Ryan
Black Hawk Down
The Pacific (it isn't a movie but a mini series... still amazing though :yep:)
Band of Brothers

Those are my favourites that I can remember

It's 10x better than slumdog, in my opinion... It's really amazing.
The Return of the King
The Two Towers
Fellowship of the Ring

I'm afraid I cannot think of another two.
