Basic Arabic....

I'm interested in learning Arabic from scratch. Does anyone have any advice/good websites/books etc? Thank you

My friend used this series of lectures to learn Arabic. I haven't looked at them but they may be useful.
lol ok so theres tonnes of material out there but it all goes down to what you want to learn and your learning style.

1-This is a not very interactive way, it has acouple common day to day scenarios, and it touches on grammar. http://www.scribd.com/doc/6719492/Learn-Arabic-Through-English

2- This is a good "FREE" software thats is pretty interactive it doesnt really go into grammar, but its pretty neat because its organised into chapters, and tests you on the material you learnt. so you can easily keeptrack of your progress.

3- Last but not least Rosetta Stone. I think its the best thing you can use to learn Arabic, i have not used it my self, BUT apparently its supposed to be very good (im planning on using it to learn some german :P) Thing is its not Legally "Free" so you'll have to torrent it.

I used that once to try and learn Danish:smile: was good but I didn't keep it up. Going to try again with Russian.

I'm learning Arabic at the minute and we use a book called Mastering Arabic by Jane Wightwick which is really simple and concise and comes with audio CDs which are really helpful.
