In 1999 the Martin Luther King family sued one of the assassins of Martin Luther King in civil court. They did this because the department of justice would not reopen the investigation after the Martin Luther King family uncovered evidence that the FBI, CIA, and Memphis police had assassinated Dr King. The King family also wanted to enter their evidence into a public record so it could be accessed. The jury returned a verdict in favor of the King family and juror members held a press conference saying it was a clear cut case of the FBI assassinating Dr King. There was a media blackout of the trial. Details of the trial can be viewed here or by reading the book called ACT OF STATE THE EXECUTION OF Martin Luther King
written by the trial attorney William Pepper.

CNN exclusive: FBI misconduct reveals sex, lies and videotape

By Scott Zamost and Kyra Phillips, CNN Special Investigations Unit
January 27, 2011

Washington (CNN) -- An FBI employee shared confidential information with his girlfriend, who was a news reporter, then later threatened to release a sex tape the two had made.

A supervisor watched pornographic videos in his office during work hours while "satisfying himself."

And an employee in a "leadership position" misused a government database to check on two friends who were exotic dancers and allowed them into an FBI office after hours.

These are among confidential summaries of FBI disciplinary reports obtained by CNN, which describe misconduct by agency supervisors, agents and other employees over the last three years.

by Dina Temple-Raston

May 13, 2009

A former FBI agent at the center of one of the biggest discrimination cases in the agency's history has filed a new lawsuit, in which he says the FBI continues to exact retribution for a case he settled back in 1990.

Donald Rochon was 37 years old when he filed his landmark discrimination suit against the FBI. Rochon, who is black, was a young agent in Omaha, Neb., when some troubling things started to happen. In one incident, Rochon returned to his desk to find that someone had put a picture of monkey over his son's face in a family photograph.

Another episode took place shortly after Rochon learned to scuba dive. "Their ideology [was that] blacks couldn't swim," he says. "And they put up a photograph of me and another black person swimming in a garbage dump."

The situation escalated when Rochon and some of his tormentors were transferred to Chicago. He started getting death threats. In one instance, white agents said they would cut off his genitals. Then, about a week later, a death and dismemberment insurance policy appeared on Rochon's desk.

"That was traced back to an FBI agent," he says. The agent forged Rochon's signature on the policy.

The FBI supervisor said it was harmless fun and wrote the incidents off as pranks.

In separate investigations, the Justice Department and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission saw it differently. They found that Rochon was humiliated by agents because he was black. The former special agent in charge of the Omaha office told the EEOC that he considered the pranks to be "healthy" and a sign of "esprit de corps." He said he was aware of Rochon's racial harassment complaints, but he didn't take any formal action.

It must feel great to have an organization that assassinated President Kennedy and Martin Luther King protect you from the "bad guys".

couple of reads about taxpayer funded FBI agents FBI taking down other crime families, using informants who were killing people while working for the FBI,
using informants to create the 1993 1st World Trade Center bombing and Oklahoma City bombing and other FBI news/
The backstory here is because you have hired bodyguards to protect you
called police/FBI agents you have lost the ability to protect yourself.
It has been bred out of you, eh?

Documents fuel questions about allowing killer Kimball to be FBI informant

CBS/48 Hours ran this special investigative report on serial killer-FBI informant Scott Kimball. Kimball--a long-time felon--was sharing a prison cell and saw a photo of his cellmate's girlfriend, Jennifer Marcum. Kimball concocted a story about a murder-for-hire scheme in order to secure his own release, and then--while working for the FBI as an informant--proceeded to murder Marcum and at least two other women. When Marcum's parents approached the FBI with their suspicions, Kimball's FBI handler dismissed them. This dynamic is one of the major dangers of informant reliance: not only was Kimball able to use his status as a jailhouse snitch to gain release based on fabricated evidence, but his snitch status and relationship with the government protected him, at least initially, from investigation.
While out on the streets in 2003 and 2004, he murdered three women and his uncle, evading suspicion for years before the fathers of two of the victims pressed for a new investigation that unraveled his elaborate web of deceit.

The unsealed papers, in conjunction with other documents, raise new questions about the diligence with which federal prosecutors and agents looked into Kimball's background before making him a paid "confidential human source."

In 2000, for example, a federal judge in Montana, in a stern ruling, determined that Kimball was "impossible to supervise in a community setting" and concluded "you're irresponsible, untruthful and simply do what you want to do regardless of the rules and conditions imposed by this court." And in 2001, he had escaped from a low-security Montana prison.

The documents also show that some details of his dealings with FBI agents were not shared with the federal judge who presided over the plea deal. Kimball was paid approximately $20,000 by the FBI, according to the documents.

Boulder District Attorney Stan Garnett, who plans to challenge Suthers in the November election and who prosecuted Kimball for the killings, said he was flabbergasted by the picture painted by the newly unsealed documents.

"This is one of the worst plea bargains in the history of the world," he said. "To give this kind of guy with four prior felonies this kind of bond and freedom so he could go and commit these murders is unbelievable."

Information offered

Kimball had been behind bars in Alaska in a check-fraud case when he provided information to FBI agents about an alleged plot to kill a federal judge beginning his life as an informant.

Nobody was ever convicted in that case. He then claimed to know about the murder of an assistant United States attorney in Seattle.

Less than four weeks before Scott Kimball started killing people, then-U.S. Attorney John Suthers signed the order that transferred the habitual criminal and escaped convict to Colorado and set in motion his ill-fated career as an FBI informant.

Detailed confession filed in S.L. about Oklahoma City plot

By Geoffrey Fattah, Deseret News
Feb. 22 2007

The only surviving convicted criminal in the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City is saying his co-conspirator, Timothy McVeigh, told him he was taking orders from a top FBI official in orchestrating the bombing.

The only surviving convicted criminal in the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City is saying his co-conspirator, Timothy McVeigh, told him he was taking orders from a top FBI official in orchestrating the bombing.

A declaration from Terry Lynn Nichols, filed in U.S. District Court in Salt Lake City, has proven to be one of the most detailed confessions by Nichols to date about his involvement in the bombing as well as the involvement of others.
The declaration was filed as part of Salt Lake City attorney Jesse Trentadue's pending wrongful death suit against the government for the death of his brother in a federal corrections facility in Oklahoma City. Trentadue claims his brother was killed during an interrogation by FBI agents when agents mistook his brother for a suspect in the Oklahoma City bombing investigation.

The most shocking allegation in the 19-page signed declaration is Nichols' assertion that the whole bombing plot was an FBI operation and that McVeigh let slip during a bout of anger that he was taking instruction from former FBI official Larry Potts.

Potts was no stranger to anti-government confrontations, having been the lead FBI agent at Ruby Ridge in 1992, which led to the shooting death of Vicki Weaver, the wife of separatist Randy Weaver. Potts also was reportedly involved in the 51-day siege of the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas in 1993, which resulted in a fire that killed 81 Branch Davidian followers.

Potts retired from the FBI under intense pressure and criticism for the cover-up of an order to allow agents to shoot anyone seen leaving the Weaver cabin at Ruby Ridge.

When contacted, the FBI's main office in Washington, D.C., said it could not provide immediate comment on Nichols' claims Tuesday.

Nichols claims that, in December 1992, McVeigh told him that "while he was serving in the U.S. Army, he had been recruited to carry out undercover missions."

In the next few years, the two men hatched the bombing plot. In October 1994, "McVeigh and I stole explosives from a quarry in Marion, Kansas consisting of 8 1/2 cases or boxes containing 229 (2-inch by 16-inch) sticks of the gel type explosive known as Tovex," Nichols wrote, adding that only a small amount was used in the actual bombing.

John H. Conditt Jr., 53, who retired in 2001, was sentenced last week to 12 years in prison in Tarrant County court in Fort Worth, Texas, after he admitted he molested the daughter of two FBI agents after he retired. Man Ticketed for Dropping Money on the Ground
May 22, 2012

CLEVELAND A random act of kindness lands a man in trouble with police.

Last Monday, May 14th John Davis was exiting I-90 at the West 117th ramp when he saw a man in a wheelchair. The man was pale, thin and holding a sign that had a religious sentiment and also a request for help.

John thought to himself, “I think we’re all to help the less fortunate.”

The middle class family man from Elyria works hard for a living and enjoys giving back especially to people who are physically challenged.

“I have a brother that’s paralyzed,” said John, “My brother’s in that same situation and struggles.”

John reached into his wallet and grabbed a couple of bucks to give to the man. As he approached the light at the exit, he rolled the money up vertically and stretched his arm out of his window. He says, the man touched the cash and one of the dollars fell to the ground.

The man then bent over and picked it up.

Moments later as John travelled North on West 117th he says a Cleveland police officer pulled him over.

“He proceeds to tell me he’s pulling me over for littering,” said John.

A NATIONAL PROBLEM IN POLICE MISCONDUCT

I. THE STORIES

In April, 2002 a Virginia state trooper was indicted for soliciting sex from female drivers in return for dropping traffic charges against them. [1]

Just one week earlier a San Bernardino, California police officer was charged with sexually assaulting or raping 11 women while on duty. [2]

Also in March, 2002 a suburban Philadelphia police officer was convicted of raping an intoxicated woman while on duty and in uniform. [3]

These and numerous other cases highlight a national problem of "driving while female" where police officers use their authority, often in traffic stops, to harass or assault women drivers, or to take advantage of women who have been stopped for legitimate violations. The "driving while female" problem became apparent in early 2001 in a series of cases on Long Island, New York. On New Year's Day 2001, a Suffolk County (NY) police officer stopped a female driver for an alleged

From 1955 to December 31, 1963, Col. L. Fletcher Prouty was the Focal Point (liason) officer between the Pentagon and the CIA. During 1962 and 1963 he was Director of Special Plans (clandestine operations) in the office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

In 1971 he was the president of the Financial Marketing Council, Washington, D.C.

He is the author of numerous articles and of The Secret Team, published by Prentice Hall (1973) and Ballantine Books (1974).

How was the Warren Commission kept
from investigating and seeing evidence?
This is the real issue.
This is a crime to top the crime.

As we prepare now to celebrate the beginning of the third century of the founding of this country, we wonder if we live in the land of the free. We wonder if at least we still have a government of the people and by the people. Certainly, it is no longer a government for the people. The sound throughout the land is ugly: there is frustration, hate, and fear. We must act while there may still be time.

There is a grave conspiracy over the land. The people have come alive because of Vietnam and Watergate; but they have scarcely scratched the surface. A President and a Vice-President have been forced to resign. A President has been shot to death. Two Presidential candidates have been shot, one of them killed. Many of the President's men have been forced to leave, some have gone to jail; others are still under indictment.

Yes, history has been made by a series of murders, but not enough has been done to solve them. The trial of Watergate was the trial of the cover-up. There has been no trial about the real crime of Watergate. There has been no trial of the big power behind Watergate. The Hunts, Liddys, McCords, and the Cubans were not drawn into that drama solely for their own interests. They were working for someone much higher up. They were all pawns, just like Nixon was. This is a game for the biggest stake of all -- absolute control of the government of the United States of America; and, with control of this government, control of the world. And yet the real crime underlying all of this has not even been identified, stated, and charged. The real criminals still walk the streets, run their corporations, control their banks, and pull strings throughout their political and financial machines.

This control mechanism did not start in 1972 with Watergate. It began, in a tentative way, in the Korean War era, when the military and the executive branch found out how easy it was to fool the Congress and the American public. And with that recognition, power-hungry and money-mad industrialists began to usurp more and more power. And when those rifles crackled over Dealey Plaza, in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963 and John F. Kennedy's brain was splattered across the road, they had made their move into the big time. They took over control of the President and of the Presidency. The man they had killed was no longer a problem and they had made certain that his successor, Lyndon Johnson, heard and remembered the sound of those guns. It is the sound of those guns in Dallas, and their ever-present threat, which is the real mechanism of control over the American government.

It is possible now to reconstruct the scenario of that day, and, with new information, to show why the murder of JFK may properly be called the "Crime of the Century." If we the people of the United States do not demand its resolution this year, it will stand in the way of a free election in 1976. It will doom a third century of democratic government in this country.

Almost everyone who has taken the time to do any reading and thinking about that crime knows by now that John Kennedy was killed not by a lone assassin, but by a group of hired "mechanics." Let's look at some of the hard facts of this murder and put to rest once and for all the "cover-up" report of the Warren Commission.

The Warren Commission categorically stated that Lee Harvey Oswald was the killer of JFK and that he acted alone. The Warren Commission says that Oswald fired three shots, only three shots, from the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository Building and that his lair was at a window, number one from the right (eastern-most on the south side) on that sixth floor.

IMG# 1: Texas School Book Depository Building

If one breaks this contrived Warren Commission story, then the fundament of the "lone assassin" theory is undermined. Break this weak theory and you are confronted immediately with an awareness of the existence of a massive conspiracy. And we are equally convinced that this group hired at least four expert "mechanics" (assassins). This group wielded control over elements of the Dallas police, the Sheriff's office, the FBI, the Secret Service, and the CIA. This great cabal had control high enough in government, or at least in the councils of government, to be able to influence the travel plans of the President, the Vice-President and a Presidential candidate (Nixon), and all members of the Kennedy cabinet. They were powerful enough to have orders issued to the Army, and they were able to mount a massive campaign to control the media during and after the assassination. They were able to have Jack Ruby kill Oswald and to transfer jurisdiction of the murder from Texas and then to effectively control the outcome of the Warren Commission review.

Then as soon as JFK was dead, they began an even larger campaign to cover up that crime forever. Penn Jones, the tenacious editor of the Midlothian, Texas, Mirror, has devoted his life to "researching the hell" out of this conspiracy. He has a list of some eighty-five people who, because they knew too much or got too close, have died sudden and unnatural deaths since the JFK murder.

This great cabal had seen to it that Vice-President Lyndon Johnson was in the Kennedy procession, and they saw to it that he heard those hired guns, that he saw Kennedy die, and that he lived through that terrible nightmare of the trip back to Washington on Air Force One. From that day on, LBJ never again was that self-confident, swash-buckling, free-wheeling Texan. Before he died, LBJ told his old friend Tom Janos that he knew Oswald had not killed JFK alone.

The American public is now ready enough to have the cloak torn from the lies about the Kennedy murder and the cover-up; but the American public has not had the guts to face the fact of the massive conspiracy that arranged for that murder and which to this day perpetuates its cover-up.

Many of us have been convinced, as a result of careful and detailed study that the first of these glass barricades, the Warren Commission report, is a lie. And, we are equally convinced that the cover-up of the murder can be smashed and the conspiracy exposed. But if we don't act now, there will be consequences. These will begin with either the cancellation of elections in 1976 or with elections that will be a total sham. For who will dare run against the candidate of the conspiracy? Will it be Wallace with his wounds and from his wheelchair, or another Kennedy, or Ed Muskie, who was badly roughed up in 1972, or George McGovern, who was twice scheduled for assassination in 1972?

Who, unless he sells his soul to the cabal, can face those hired guns?

Today, our country is being run by a President and a Vice-President who have not been elected to office. This is merely a process to condition the American public.

Let's begin here by breaking apart the whole fabric of the lone-killer thesis. On November 28, 1963, less than one week after Kennedy's death, the Secret Service, the agency closest to the scene, reported that three shots were fired. The Secret Service said that the first hit the President, the second hit Governor John Connally of Texas, and the third struck the President. There were no other shots according to the Secret Service. The Secret Service was wrong!

Dealey Plaza Firing Paths Schematic by architect Robert Cutler
This schematic by Robert Cutler pinpoints the exact location
of all elements -- buildings, vehicles, and people -- on
Dealey Plaza at the time of the shooting of the President

On December 9, 1963, the FBI reported that three shots had been fired and that two hit the President and that one hit John Connally. The FBI says there were no other shots. The FBI was less specific than the Secret Service. The FBI was wrong.

Then, much later, on September 27, 1964 (ten months after the crime), the Warren Commission issued its report along with twenty-six huge volumes of random data. This report states that there were three shots. The Warren Commission was wrong.

According to the Warren Commission, the first shot, the "miracle bullet" designed and dreamed up by one of its lawyers (Arlen Specter), is one of the most fascinating contrivances of our generation. Forced to account for a series of unrelated events, Arlen Specter came up with a weird solution. He says the first bullet hit JFK, passed through the muscle of his upper back exited from his lower throat, traveled a few feet in the air, changed course, and entered Connally's back, plunged through his body, broke about five inches of one of his right rib bones, came out again, and then slammed into his right wrist, where it broke two more bones, exited again, and then pierced his thigh and ended its strange journey embedded in his thigh bone.

An interpretation of this thesis, based on photographic and medical evidence, means the bullet would have had to have made a right and upward turn upon leaving JFK's throat, paused in midair for more than two seconds, made a left and steep downward turn as it entered Connally's back, made a right and upward turn as it left Connally's chest, passed through Connally's wrist in the direction backward from the way his wrist was facing, made another left and downward turn, then wound up in Connally's left thigh.

Right here we see the brazen, "To Hell with the Public" character of the Commission report. Can you imagine some lawyer, even the persuasive and imaginative Specter, selling that bullet and its bumble-bee flight to any jury of intelligent Americans? The Commission was stuck with a "three bullet" crime because the Secret Service and the FBI had both reported three bullets, because there were only 6.8 seconds of shooting[1], as proven precisely by a film of the event made by Abraham Zapruder, and because the character who planted the shells at the "Oswald lair" had only put three there. Furthermore, if they were going to stick with the "lone assassin" solution, they were faced with the hard task of making it appear feasible that Oswald alone could have gotten off just three bullets in 6.8 seconds, let alone four, five, or six.

The Zapruder movie film, which shows the entire scene from beginning to end, became invaluable as a master clock of the whole affair. It established a foolproof chronology of the crime. It is not too difficult to determine precisely when (what frame of the movie film) the first shot was fired; and it is equally simple to determine exactly the elapsed time until the last shot was fired. So, unless the Commission could accept that there might have been other gunmen who fired during the same 6.8 seconds -- and this the Commission categorically denied -- it was going to have to show that Oswald could have fired three bullets from that sixth-floor window, and that he performed this feat in super-marksmanship time of 6.8 seconds.[2] It is significant to stress here that the supposed murder weapon was a cheap Italian Mannlicher-Carcano mail-order rifle, a single-shot, bolt-action antique.

Another complication crept into the Commission's connivance. One of the bystanders at Dealey Plaza that day was a man named James Tague. He was hit by a fragment of concrete knocked off the curb by a bullet that had hit a curbstone near where he stood. He IMG# 2: James Tague reported his injury to a hospital.

NUMBER 2.* James Tague, on the far right, with cut on face after he was hit by a fragment of concrete that was knocked off the curb by errant bullet. (photo by Allen.)

So there was another man on record as having been hit during these same 6.8 seconds. This forced the Commission to accept that one bullet, the second by their count, missed both JFK and Connally. This complicated their task. Remember, neither the Secret Service nor the FBI has accounted for that "missed" bullet and there were only three shell cases and no clips at Oswald's window. They both had said that three shots were fired and that two hit JFK and one hit Connally. The FBI later found the nick in the curbstone, took a section of it back to their labs in Washington, analyzed it, and decided that a bullet had indeed hit the curb.

The Zapruder film makes it abundantly clear that the top of the President's head was blown off and the skull and brain spattered as far as thirty-seven yards away by a third shot. Thus the Commission gives the "official" version: three shots. The third shot, the missed second shot, and none other than the contrived "Specter Miracle Bullet" -- the first shot.

IMG# 3: Zapruder Film, Frames # 313 (Z-313)

NUMBER 5.* X-ray of fragment of the "miracle bullet" still in John Connally's thigh. This fragment is larger than any piece missing from the "miracle bullet."

As if this were not fantasy enough, and as if this were not carrying their "To Hell with the Public" role far enough, the Commission reports that this same miracle bullet was found forty-five minutes later in the Parkland Hospital more than three hectic miles from the scene of the murder. It was on a stretcher which "somebody" presumed Connally had been lying on.

This is the stuff of the Commission solution and this is what we have been asked and forced to believe for the past eleven years. Any ballistics expert worth his gunpowder would shrink from the task of developing the theory of that bullet. Pictures of that undamaged bullet show it as clean as a brand-new slug. It looks as though it had hardly been fired at all, let alone having traveled through two men, broken three bones, and lodged in a fourth.[3]

As Mike Vinson reported in the March-April Probe, other witnesses testified to their knowledge of Liberto's involvement in King's slaying. Store-owner John McFerren said he arrived around 5:15 pm, April 4, 1968, for a produce pick-up at Frank Liberto's warehouse in Memphis. (King would be shot at 6:0l pm.) When he approached the warehouse office, McFerren overheard Liberto on the phone inside saying, "Shoot the son-of-a-bitch on the balcony."

Café-owner Lavada Addison, a friend of Liberto's in the late 1970's, testified that Liberto had told her he "had Martin Luther King killed." Addison's son, Nathan Whitlock, said when he learned of this conversation he asked Liberto point-blank if he had killed King.

"[Liberto] said, `I didn't kill the ****** but I had it done.' I said, `What about that other son-of-a-bitch taking credit for it?' He says, `Ahh, he wasn't nothing but a troublemaker from Missouri. He was a front man . . . a setup man.'"

The jury also heard a tape recording of a two-hour-long confession Jowers made at a fall 1998 meeting with Martin Luther King's son Dexter and former UN Ambassador Andrew Young. On the tape Jowers says that meetings to plan the assassination occurred at Jim's Grill. He said the planners included undercover Memphis Police Department officer Marrell McCollough (who now works for the Central Intelligence Agency, and who is referenced in the trial transcript as Merrell McCullough), MPD Lieutentant Earl Clark (who died in 1987), a third police officer, and two men Jowers did not know but thought were federal agents.

Young, who witnessed the assassination, can be heard on the tape identifying McCollough as the man kneeling beside King's body on the balcony in a famous photograph. According to witness Colby Vernon Smith, McCollough had infiltrated a Memphis community organizing group, the Invaders, which was working with the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. In his trial testimony Young said the MPD intelligence agent was "the guy who ran up [the balcony stairs] with us to see Martin."

Jowers says on the tape that right after the shot was fired he received a smoking rifle at the rear door of Jim's Grill from Clark. He broke the rifle down into two pieces and wrapped it in a tablecloth. Raul picked it up the next day. Jowers said he didn't actually see who fired the shot that killed King, but thought it was Clark, the MPD's best marksman.

The Role of the FBI

It is also enlightening to look at FBI actions both prior to and
after the Martin Luther King assassination. Former Atlanta FBI agent Arthur
Murtagh has given some indication of the prevailing mood at the
Bureau in King's home city.

Murtagh related in an interview that "Me and a colleague were
checking out for the day when the news came over the radio that
Dr. King had been shot. My colleague leapt up, clapped his hands
and said `Goddamn, we got him! We finally got him.'" When asked
if he was sure of this statement Murtagh was adamant that his
colleague said "we," not "they." [22. Interview with Arthur

For years, through its COINTELPRO operations, the FBI had been
spying on, bugging, falsifying letters, and sowing discontent
among the leadership of the SCLC in an attempt to discredit and
"neutralize" Dr. King. [23. See Garrow, {op. cit.}, n. 17; also

As Minister of Defense of the Chicago Black Panther Party, guarding its charismatic leader, Fred Hampton, he built a homemade electric chair to scare informers. But he was himself an F.B.I. informer and provided a diagram of the Panthers' apartment, indicating where everyone slept. The F.B.I. passed the diagram to a Chicago police unit and persuaded it to make the 1969 predawn raid that left Mr. Hampton slain in his bed by a hail of police bullets.

For all the controversy that followed, the F.B.I.'s involvement did not emerge until years later. The Panthers charged there was a nationwide government effort to kill them off, but the shooting was generally accepted as the product of local passions and the familiar brutality of Mayor Richard J. Daley's police. The Nixon Justice Department ordered a Federal grand jury investigation, which found the police fired 82 to 99 rounds into the apartment.Only one shot could be attributed to the Panthers. The police investigation was found "so seriously deficient that it suggests purposeful malfeasance." But there were no indictments and much of the grand jury report criticized the Panthers -- for, among other things, distrust of law enforcement. The F.B.I. role wasn't mentioned.

William O'Neal was to go into partnership with a Chicago police officer in ripping off drug dealers and, eventually, killing one. The two decided to inform on each other, but Mr. O'Neal's case took precedence because he went to the F.B.I. while the policeman went to local authorities. The policeman wound up in jail and Mr. O'Neal in the Federal witness protection program. But the case alerted lawyers for the Panthers to the F.B.I. role. F.B.I. documents made public later revealed that Mr. Hoover had urged his men to quash any new black "messiah." The Chicago field office sent in a report claiming credit for the raid and seeking a $300 bonus for its informer. Eventually, the Government settled the Panthers' civil suit by paying $1.8 million to Mr. Hampton's family and others.

Informers in this and other cases were frequently criminals over whom the authorities had a hold, or young people of dubious mental stability. And there was a self-fulfilling bureaucratic pressure: they succeeded only if there was trouble. Case after case went to trial in which it appeared that the informer was the prime mover and not much had actually happened. The Seattle 7, the Camden 17, the Kansas City 4, the Gainesville 8, the Panther 21: Almost invariably, juries needed little time to decide on acquittal. In Seattle, the F.B.I. paid for paint to spray the Federal courthouse during an antiwar demonstration. In the trial of the Indians who took over Wounded Knee, S.D., informers were put in the defense camp. Even before he knew this, Federal District Court Judge Frederick J. Nichol threw out the charges for other F.B.I. misconduct, declaring "It's hard for me to believe that the F.B.I., which I have revered for so long, has stooped so low."

Even a major triumph for the F.B.I., the swift arrest of an Alabama Klu Klux Klansman for the murder of a white civil rights worker, Viola Liuzzo, came about because the agency's main informant, Gary Thomas Rowe, was in the car from which the fatal shots were fired. Mr. Rowe, it turned out, was a Klansman's Klansman who loved violence, led the way in beating up Freedom Riders, kept a stash of explosives and would become an embarrassment when the Justice Department had to shield him against charges that he might have carried out bombings in Birmingham or, indeed, the fatal shooting itself.

"He couldn't be an angel and be a good informant," one of his handlers explained.

So there seemed a certain sad familiarity in the latest case. Michael Fitzpatrick, it turns out, appears to be a classic informer: Arrested at 18 in the bombing of a Manhattan bookstore that sold Russian books, then turned by the F.B.I., he helped send two Jewish Defense League members to jail on charges of planning to bomb an Egyptian tourism office. Classmates at the school where he knew Ms. Shabazz in the 1970's remember him bringing in guns and bombs. He was moved to the Minneapolis area under the Federal witness protection program; there, local anarchists expelled him for nagging them to throw bombs.

by Dina Temple-Raston

FBI Agent Fleeing Massive Manhunt Warns “They’re All Insane”
Posted on May 20, 2012 by D R Gomez

EU Times A bizarre Foreign Ministry report circulating in the Kremlin today states that this Friday past (11 May) Russian Envoy Vladimir Vinokurov, the Consulate General of San Francisco, was approached near his hotel room during a visit to Los Angles by an agent of the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) identifying himself as Stephen Ivens [photo top left] who warned that he and a former FBI agent named Donald Sachtleben had uncovered evidence of an impending terror attack on US soil stating that those behind the attack were “all insane.”

Before Ivens was able to finish his “message,” this report says, the three American Diplomatic Security (DS) agents, who trail all Russian diplomats in the US, began to “surge” towards Ivens causing him to flee.

According to US news sources, Special Agent Ivens, after leaving downtown Los Angeles, returned to his home in Burbank whereupon he then fled into the rugged Verdugo Mountains after which a massive manhunt for him ensued involving 100 FBI agents, 40 sheriff’s department rescuers and a dozen local police officers.

FBI officials stated to the local media that Ivens was “distraught” and “might be suicidal” adding that they believed he had in his possession his service weapon. At no time, however, did anyone ever state as to why Ivens would be in such a state.

According to other US news sources, Special Agent Ivens graduated from Braintree High School in Massachusetts18 years ago and was selected by his fellow students as “shyest” in his class. He was further described by FBI colleagues as well liked, a devoted agent with no history of disciplinary action on the job, and according to FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller “Married with a one-year-old child, he has been working for the FBI for the past three years in the national security area. Prior to that, he worked as a Los Angeles police officer for eight years.”

Late yesterday, after the massive manhunt failed to find any trace of Ivens, his wife Thea Ivens issued an urgent public appeal stating: “Steve, if you are out there listening right now, your wife wants to let you know, ‘Babe, we are in this together for better or for worse. I love you, no matter what happens.’ Your child wants you to know, ‘Daddy’s work? Daddy home?’”

Even more bizarre about this case, this report continues, is that the retired FBI agent named Donald Sachtleben mentioned by Ivens, who also knew about this impending “plot,” was arrested within hours of Ivens disappearing and charged with trading child pornography.

Most important to note about Sachtleben was, aside from his being an over 25-year veteran of the FBI, he was a special agent bomb technician before retiring in 2008 who specialized in counterterrorism and bombing investigations and whose most important case was the 11 September 2001 attacks on New York City.

According to US news reports about Sachtleben’s arrest, this most knowledgeable of FBI agents openly traded child porn using the e-mail address [email protected] in an act so stupid for one of the United States most highly trained intelligence agents it defies belief.

The practice of US intelligence services charging their most feared dissidents with child pornography and/or sex charges is well known, with the most celebrated case being against the former UN weapons inspector William Scott Ritter, Jr. who warned about the lies being told to the American people in the run-up to the Iraq War only to find himself sent to prison on trumped up charges involving a minor girl.

To exactly what kind of false flag plot Agents Ivens and Sachtleben had uncovered this report doesn’t say, other than to note that the credibility of this information should not be dismissed due to how fast and hard US intelligence agencies are acting to cover their tracks should any additional information come forth.

Grimly to be noted is the use of false flag operations by the United States and their political elite classes are well known and well documented, the most famous of them being Operation Northwoods.

Operation Northwoods was a series of false-flag proposals that originated in 1962 within the United States government, and which the Kennedy administration rejected. The proposals called for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), or other operatives, to commit acts of terrorism in U.S. cities and elsewhere. These acts of terrorism were to be blamed on Cuba in order to create public support for a war against that nation, which had recently become communist under Fidel Castro. One part of Operation Northwoods was to “develop a Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities and even in Washington.”

Operation Northwoods proposals included hijackings and bombings followed by the introduction of phony evidence that would implicate the Cuban government. It stated: “The desired resultant from the execution of this plan would be to place the United States in the apparent position of suffering defensible grievances from a rash and irresponsible government of Cuba and to develop an international image of a Cuban threat to peace in the Western Hemisphere.”

Several other proposals were included within Operation Northwoods, including real or simulated actions against various U.S. military and civilian targets. The plan was drafted by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, signed by Chairman Lyman Lemnitzer and sent to the Secretary of Defense. Although part of the U.S. government’s Cuban Project anti-communist initiative, Operation Northwoods was never officially accepted; it was authored by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, but then rejected by President John F. Kennedy.

As the events of Oklahoma City and 9/11 prove, however, the appetite for false flag operations against the American people by their own government is far from sated, with the next one, undoubtedly, being the worst of them all.

Do the Right Thing: Fred Whitehurst's Advice for National Security Whistleblowers
National Security Whistleblowers' Seminar

(Washington, D.C.) Dr. Frederic Whitehurst, the former FBI agent who successfully blew the whistle on corruption at the Federal Bureau of Investigation's National Crime Lab, told of the ordeal the national security establishment whistleblower faces in a conference held at the National Whistleblowers Center in Washington, D.C.

Speaking at the National Whistleblowers Legal Defense & Education Fund's National Security Whistleblowers' Seminar on December 11, 2009, Dr. Whitehurst cautioned potential whistleblowers "It's not going to be easy. Your boss will never agree with you. Nothing will happen to your tormentors."

Whitehurst, who now heads the NWC's Forensic Justice Project, won a settlement of $1.16 million from the F.B.I. after years of litigation. Also participating in the seminar were attorneys Stephen M. Kohn and David K. Colapinto of the Washington-based law firm Kohn Kohn & Colapinto (KKC). Kohn serves as executive director of the National Whistleblowers Center and Colapinto serves as its General Counsel. (Also participating in the seminar was attorney Mark Zaid of the James Madison Project, FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds of the National Security Whistleblowers Coalition, and former Air Marshal Robert MacLean, who blew the whistle on the Transportation Security Administration.)

Lack of Protection

Dr. Frederic Whitehurst said that there were no protections for F.B.I. whistleblowers when he blew the whistle on FBI Crime Lab corruption in the early 1990s. According to Fred, the only protection he had was the attorneys from KKC.

Steven Kohn said that it took years for David Colapinto to develop the legal defense to give Fred Whitehurst and other whistleblowers at the FBI legal protection against retaliation. Instead of being grateful that the whistleblower has uncovered illegal acts, government agencies typically react by treating the whistleblower as the wrongdoer. Whitehurst was characterized by the FBI and the Department of Justice as a disgruntled employee with mental problems in a smear campaign conducted in the press that included illegal leaks of information from his personnel files.

Was he a disgruntled employee? No, Whitehurst said. The fact was he was working in a negative environment. He blew the whistle on Lab wrongdoers after he revealed malfeasance of other Lab employees to his superiors and was ignored as he believed that the FBI Crime lab should not be altering evidence.

As Fred Whitehurst and his attorneys at KKC found out, the national security whistleblower has no legal protections except the U.S. Constitution. National security whistleblowers are not covered by the Whistleblower Protection Act of 1989 that gives legal shields to federal government employees toiling outside the national security establishment.

Constitutional Safeguards

Dr. Frederic Whitehurst's case would, for the first time, forge protections for the national security whistleblowers under the 1st and 5th Amendments to the Constitution. For whistleblowers like Whitehurst who were victims of a smear campaign that utilized the leaking of Privacy Act-protected information - other legal proections came from the Privacy Act itself and the Freedom of Information Act. (Other protections can be found under the Administrative Procedure Act and, if the whistleblower is a woman or a member of a minority group, Title VII.)

Members of the national security establishments of foreign nations have told Fred Whitehurst that in their countries, he would have been shot. That led to an important point that Whitehurst made to potential and current national security whistleblowers: The federal government is not going to kill them. (Karen Silkwood, who may have been murdered to terminate her whistleblowing activities, blew whistle on a private sector nuclear power company.)

It's a rough road that the national security whistleblower must tread, Dr. Whitehurst told the seminar. He got through his ordeal just as he later got through law school: by putting one foot in front of the other. (Whitehurst got his law degree during the litigation of his claims against the government as he knew his career with the Bureau was over and he needed a new profession.)

That's not to say it is going to be easy, Whitehurst said. Your supervisors will never agree with you, that you have indeed uncovered wrongdoing. You will be victimized by attacks by your agency and other agencies of the government, and nothing will happen to your tormentors. (In the Whitehurst case, his career at the FBI, as was that of his wife, was ruined while one of the wrongdoers he revealed was promoted and allowed to stay with the Bureau through retirement.)

Do the Right Thing

Dr. Whitehurst cautioned the national security whistleblower that there are mental health issues involved. A Vietnam veteran, Whitehurst said that combat was nothing compared with the psychological pressure he faced after blowing the whistle. The potential whistleblower must address the effect that whistleblowing will have on your mental health, and on your family and their mental health as well as the family's overall well-being. The FBI put Whitehurst's wife, who was also a Bureau employee, through what he called "a living hell."

It all comes down to motivation. Fred Whitehurst believed that what was going on in the FBI Crime Lab - the manufacturing of evidence to frame defendants in cases the Lab had been called into and the commission of perjury by Lab employees -- was wrong and against the law. The law said it was wrong, but the FBI supervisors to whom he revealed the malfeasance told him that he was failing to understand how the Crime Lab worked.

Whitehurst said that a reality check is important to the potential national security whistleblower. After being cautioned by his superiors to drop his complaints and stop rocking the boat, he did his own reality check. He realized that he was right, and that he had to do the right thing. He blew the whistle.

Wrapping up his remarks, Whitehurst commented, "You need a good law firm behind you, or you'll be flipping hamburgers. A law firm takes the pressure off."

WASHINGTON D.C. (5/27/12) Today the FBI released a version of its Child ID App built for Android mobile devices.

The Child ID App provides parents and caregivers with an easy way to electronically store pictures and vital information about their children in case they go missing—whether it’s a toddler wandering away at the mall or a teen who has been snatched by a stranger.

Using the app, you can show pictures of your kids and provide physical identifiers such as height and weight to security or police officers on the spot. You can also quickly and easily e-mail the information to authorities with a few clicks. The app also includes tips on keeping children safe as well as specific guidance on what to do in those first few crucial hours after a child goes missing.

Conspiracy of Silence: The Franklin Cover UpConspiracy of Silence, a documentary listed for viewing in TV Guide Magazine was to be aired on the Discovery Channel, on May 3 1994. This documentary exposed a network of religious leaders and Washington politicians who flew children to Washington D.C. for sex orgies. Many children suffered the indignity of wearing nothing but their underwear and a number displayed on a piece of cardboard hanging from their necks when being auctioned off to foreigners in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Toronto, Canada.

At the last minute before airing, unknown congressmen threatened the TV Cable industry with restrictive legislation if this documentary was aired. Almost immediately, the rights to the documentary were purchased by unknown persons who ordered all copies destroyed.

"What you have to understand, John, is that sometimes there are forces and events too big, too powerful, with so much at stake for other people or institutions, that you cannot do anything about them, no matter how evil or wrong they are and no matter how dedicated or sincere you are or how much evidence you have. This is simply one of the hard facts of life you have to face."--- Former CIA director and Cercle member William Colby giving advice to his friend senator John DeCamp, urging him to quit his investigations into the Franklin child abuse affair and to write a book about his experiences (The Franklin Coverup, 2nd edition, foreword).

Court documents and a book publication by Paul Bonacci’s attorney, ex-senator John de Camp, state that Larry King organized groups of children to sexually blackmail and compromise politicians and businessmen while he served as Manager of the Franklin Credit Union in Omaha, Nebraska. King had political ties that reached the presidency of the United States and he sang at the 1988 Republican National Convention in New Orleans.
Paul Bonacci, who suffers from Multiple Personality Disorder (now called Dissociative Identity Disorder), stated that as a youth, he had been transported across the U.S., and was forced to have sex with various people, forced to deliver drugs, and forced to participate in satanic snuff films, where Larry King was present. He identified the Bohemian Grove in Northern California, a well known gathering/meeting site for politicians, as the location of a satanic murder, and he had inside knowledge about many satanic ritual abuse cases around the country that he claimed to have been present at. These include a case in Jordan, Minnesota, in which Jim Rud was the only defendant charged, and in Bakersfield, California, another case in which several individuals were criminally charged for the sexual abuse of children within the context of ritual abuse.
The Omaha police chief, Robert Wadman and publisher of the local newspaper Harold Anderson, were implicated in the sexual abuse allegations. The FBI refused to investigate the child abuse allegations because the local FBI representative, Nick O’Hara, claimed that Robert Wadman was his “friend.” A Grand Jury was convened which labeled the children’s allegations as a “hoax,” apparently due to the high-profile nature of the alleged perpetrators, the ritual abuse allegations, and after one witness, Troy Boner, recanted his statements about abuse. John de Camp states that his retraction was a key factor in the Grand Jury’s findings that all the children had lied. Troy Boner later claimed that the FBI threatened him into recanting.

An article published last week by the Center for Biosecurity at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) describes how a recent study adds more questions to the controversial investigation of USAMRIID scientist Dr. Bruce Ivins as the perpetrator of the 2001 anthrax mailing attacks in the United States.

The initial FBI investigation linked spores found in the anthrax mailings to material contained in a flask labeled “RMR-1029” that was under Dr. Ivins’ control. Lab records later determined that the RMR-1029 material had been purified using a product containing two specific ingredients: meglumine and diatrizoate.

14. The anthrax letters were sent for effect, not to kill. (See my 2002 article for more on this.) Here are the effects that resulted, at least in part, from the letters:

A. The Patriot Act
B. War against Iraq
C. A new bioterrorism industry, worth over $50 Billion so far, was created
D. The moribund Anthrax Vaccine Program was resurrected

Who benefited? Ivins was no beneficiary. (Had the Bioport vaccine been killed, as planned, maybe Ivins' vaccine would have taken its place.)

You know who benefited:

* The bioevangelists, who have made a ton of bucks on the threat
* The Neocons, looking for an excuse to attack Iraq. The Iraqis may not have attacked the World Trade Center, but by golly, everyone knew they had anthrax!
* Those seeking to consolidate more power in the executive branch, increase the surveillance of Americans, get rid of Habeus Corpus, and on and on.
* The anthrax vaccine manufacturer, Bioport. Guess what? Its CEO, Fuad El-Hibri and his company Intervac bought Bioport in 1998 with $3 Million down. The day before he bought it, the Army agreed to indemnify it for him, for free. Then contracts totalling hundreds of millions of dollars started rolling in.
* Twice last week, one day after Ivins went into the hospital with an overdose, and one day after Ivins died, El Hibri sold some of his shares in the company, for $200 Million. Did he think the company would get some extra scrutiny and its share price plummet? Although the shares were reportedly sold "automatically," if you review the price fluctuations, that would appear unlikely.

Victim says informant warned agency of plan
Tim Steller Arizona Daily Star

The FBI should have prevented a 2009 home invasion in Arivaca that left a man and his 9-year-old daughter dead, the surviving victim alleges in a lawsuit against the federal government.

Convicted murderer Shawna Forde asked an FBI informant in Colorado to participate in the attack two weeks before it happened and even drew a map of the site, survivor Gina Gonzalez says in the lawsuit.

The informant passed the map on to his FBI handler in Colorado, and the agent there passed it on to the FBI office in Phoenix, but that office lost the map, the suit says.

By its own rules, FBI agents were required to tell local law enforcement in Southern Arizona of the planned crime, the suit says. But the FBI didn't intervene.

Serial killer Kimball investigated in 2004 unsolved murder

FBI informant-turned-serial-killer Scott Kimball is under investigation in the unsolved 2004 murder of a woman whose mutilated body was dumped behind a strip mall in Westminster, according to a family member.

Dachelle Powell whose sister-in-law, Catrina Powell, was beaten to death in October 2004 told The Denver Post on Tuesday that a detective involved in the case has told her Kimball is being investigated as a potential suspect. The woman also said she has been interviewed by the FBI agent heading the investigation of Kimball, who has pleaded guilty to four murders committed after he was freed from prison to act as an informant in a drug case.

Indictment of FBI agent may hold key to TWA 800
By Jack Cashill

April 21, 2006

On March 30, retired FBI agent Lin Devecchio was indicted in Brooklyn for what prosecutor Michael Vecchione calls "one of the worst cases of law enforcement corruption in the history of this country." Specifically, Devecchio has been accused of taking bribes from a mobster, the late Gregory Scarpa, Sr., in return for inside information that led to four gangland style murders in Brooklyn.

The man most responsible for Devecchio’s indictment is a Michigan-based forensic economist by the name of Stephen Dresch. A former college dean and state representative, Dresch has been very helpful to me in the Ron Brown investigation and in my Oklahoma City follow-up work. Although now dying of lung cancer, the extraordinary Mr. Dresch and his partner in crime-busting, private investigator Angela Clemente, all but willed the indictment through Congress and to fruition in a New York State court.

Although the Devecchio indictment got huge press in the New York area, the local media missed its larger ramifications. Reporter Peter Lance has not. In his 2004 book, "Cover Up: What the Government Is Still Hiding About the War on Terror," Lance argued that the FBI’s troubled relationship with Scarpa and his son, Gregory Jr., caused it to shut down its inquiry into the destruction of TWA Flight 800 in July 1996. “This [indictment] could blow open the 9/11 investigation,” says Lance.

A former correspondent for ABC News and a five-time Emmy winner, Lance has detailed the exquisitely documented communications between Scarpa Jr., an FBI informant like his father, and his New York City jail mate, Ramzi Yousef. In fact, the Brooklyn prosecutors met with Lance in September and used “Cover Up” as the blueprint for their grand jury investigation.
