AS-level - first award or last award???

Hi,

Please help. I'm filling in my UCAS and at the part where it asks for AS level grades I don't know whether to select AS Level (first award 2001) or AS Level (last award 2001).

What's the difference?? I'm applying as a mature student so I have my grades already (I took the exams in 2002).

'Last awarded' means that the A-level syllabus was discarded in 2001; 'first awarded' is the syllabus which replaced it. I'd imagine that you sat your AS exams in 2001 and A2s in 2002 - in which case, you'd have been following the syllabus 'first awarded in 2001'. :smile:
