Loans/Grants whilst on sandwich year?

Hey,

I should be able to get full loans/grants/bursary when I start uni in September. I was just wondering, do I still get them all on my 3rd year which is a year in industry?

Also, do most people still live around uni campus whilst they are on there sandwich year, or do most just go back home to live?

You get a reduced maintenance loan, which is not income dependent everyone gets the same. You can also get a tuition fee loan if your uni charges tuition fees during a placement year. There a no grants during a placement year. Most people get paid placements and therefore don't really need the money from loans and grants.

Where you live depends on where your placement is obviously, most people I know lived at home as their placements were near home than uni.
