Bush Tv-DVD stuck

I have a Bush Tv with a built in DVD player at the side, there is no tray, you just slide the DVD in, however, when putting in a DVD, it went in further than it usually does and is stuck. The eject button does not work and it does not recognise that there is a DVD in it. Any help with trying to get it out?

Do you need the DVD? There are a few ways but you'll probably scratch the DVD beyond use in the process. Try a thin piece of wire with a tight bend at the end of it to "hook" the DVD out.

Try teasing it with another CD? (Hold the centre so it doesn't go in.)

Thank you all for your help! The wire did pull it out slightly but what worked in the end was trial and error with everything in our house! An emery board actually got it out!
