what's your favourite word to use in essays?

A bit nerdy but which words do you commonly use in essays to impress?

I overuse the words 'thus' and 'conversely'.

"Using 'Thus' in an essay because you are a literary GOD"
implies, therefore, suggests :smile:

'Engender', 'Disquisition', I use 'Consequently' and 'Accordingly' often as well.
connote, thus,

Love a cheeky bit of 'Concisely' 'Specific/Specifically' and 'Ergo'

I seem to always want to repeat "However" when bringing up every argument I write.
I use 'the', 'an' and 'it' quite a lot but 'I' very rarely.
