What is the 'reference number' on a Direct Debit mandate?? Please help
I'm filling out a direct debit mandate form, and I'm really confused. What is the reference number? It is for an open learning course. I've checked the emails from them, and the letters, and there's no reference number.Is it the card number? My bank is Halifax. Please help

It's often a "For Office Use Only" field.If in doubt, ring the OU for advice
