UKCAT (if applicable): in no particular order 700, 740, 760, 590 Av 682.5 (I get really annoyed with UKCAT as the 590 was for the maths section and given as every person who had to take it has to guess half. it is an unfair assessment tool and should be fixed)

Liverpool - interview, offer AAB (with B only in Geography) (Withdrawn)
Cambridge (Girton) - interview, rejected but encouraged to re-apply if I got 3 As at A level, because of the 2 Bs at AS-level.

Extras: I had been v ill for the first term of AS-level year and only got BBCC in my first modules, all unis were understanding though and because I resat them in the summer or the following january it wasn't held against me anywhere except Cambridge!

My experience as a HCSW seemed to impress most med schools and I'm pretty sure that was what helped me through...

GCSEs: 8A*s, 2As
AS Grades: AAAA (Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Geography and an A in General Studies but that doesn't really count)
A2 Prediction/Results: AAAA
Previous Degree (if applicable): None
UKCAT (if applicable): Didn't take it
BMAT (if applicable): 20.6 (6.5 Section 1, 5.1 Section 2, 9 Section 3)

Extra Curricular: Piano and guitar, rugby, school productions etc. nothing out of the ordinary

Universities applied to and decisions:
UCL - Offer AAA (in Bio, Chem and Geography. UCL are strange as they have specified for me and other people I asked that they want a non-science related 3rd A-level)
Imperial - Offer AAAC
Birmingham - Offer AAA
Bristol - Withdrew my application because I hadn't heard anything for so long

Advice - When practicing for the BMAT, spend 50% of your time practicing the essay as this is where most of my friends fell down in the actual thing. Spend 40% of your time revising GCSE science, and the rest doing the practice papers provided on the website. I know some people who paid over £200 to go on a BMAT preparation course, and one of them got 14 in the actual thing, so don't waste your money
