If an exam is 1 hour, you will get 3 hours extra. If an exam is 1 hour 30 minutes, you will have negative 15 minutes to finish it.

150% * 60min = 90min
So 1h30 for a 1h exam (30min extra)

150% * 90min = 135min
So 2h15 for a 1h30 exam (45min extra)

its not 150% i am entitled for 50% extra  so 30 min extra for 1 hour and 2 hour 15min for a 1 hour and 30 minute exam right?

50% extra means 150% of the original value (i.e. 100%, the original value, plus 50% extra)

Half as much time again. Hope it is not a Maths exam.

1 hour = 30 mins extra. Total time 1hr 30 mins.
1 hour and 30 mins = 45 mins extra. Total time 2 hours 15 mins.

I don't think it matters. If this Year 3 Maths is beyond you then no amount of extra time is going to be much use, whatever the subject.
