Community Colleges

are community colleges cheaper than uni's in the US?

Community colleges are a lot cheaper than regular universities. Tuition fees at a community college is usually under 5,000 dollars for the entire year, compared to the 40,000 or so fees are most American schools.

Community colleges are cheaper, but especially in California, they're seen as a way to getting into a legitimate university.

They do not offer bachelors degrees. Most students will transfer to a 4-year college after their 2 years at a CC, or else receive an Associate's degree.
