River Island return/exchange?

I got bought a top from River Island for Christmas, but because I've been on holiday, I've only been able to get into town tomorrow. It was bought on the 17th Dec & I still have the gift receipt. Would I be able to get an exchange or anything?

Normally if you have a gift receipt you can have up to the end of January to exchange, refund or get the value of your item put on a gift card.
