Will Wyatt Court - DO NOT MOVE HERE!

Just thought Id let you all know what your in for if you decide to move to this expensive student halls...

- It says there is a pool table... No there isnt!

- It doesnt state that nearly EVERY flat has mice. We have two! And they dont do anything about it except leave these nasty black plastic boxes around the kitchen which clearly dont work.

- The showers are so tiny, Im a 26 inch waist and only 5ft8 and I constantly get stuck to the shower curtain!

- The toilet brushes they supply were used last year, and probably the year before. Mine had **** on the brush, lumps of ****. Of course its thrown out and I will probably have to pay to replace it.

- You pay for EVERYTHING, my toaster which is supplied by the halls has just broken, its £20 for us to buy a new one. I dread to think how much it'll be if the cooker breaks down!

- The nice garden which is upstairs above the common room, is always locked so you cant use it.

- The walls are so thin between rooms I can hear other peoples alarm clocks, snoring and could probably here someone fart! I live between a boiler and a girl so not many farts coming through luckily.

And all this for £150 can be yours! Great! NOT! And buy the time you are reading this and applying for Will Wyatt the price would probably have gone up another £10 a week.

Oh and the heaters in the room. If you plan on living here for any part of Nov, Dec and Jan I wish you luck. Its absolutely freezing and the heaters are ****E!

I had to fork out for my own portable heater just to be able to stop shivering and get to sleep.

Anyone want anymore information on how crap the accommodation is, let me know!

I've just got Will Wyatt Court, and I'm pretty kicked to be honest! I'm sure there's loads of problems, but they wouldn't be unique to only Will Wyatt. I highly doubt that the other dorms would have great heaters and toasters and thick walls! These ****ty facilities have a higher rating than the other halls, so imagine how bad they would be! Plus, if you're studying at CSM, its an ideal location, close to the college as well as nightlife!

aaaah thankyou so much for saying that! Cos I just got offered will wyatt and its not my first choice, I was a bit put off by all the hating comments so I was in a dilemma of whether or not ask to be changed to don gratton, now reading what you said I feel a bit better! :P

Hi! If you want to live in Don Gratton we could do a swap through the accomodation system? only because will wyatt is so much closer to my uni and my brother lives down the road, i really wanted will wyatt. i'm still happy with don gratton though, but will wyatt is prefered. no pressure obv! x

ONLY 5ft8 you say :P How cute! You've clearly not seen many Asians. I stand at a proud 5ft2 here ^_^ I obviously won't be having issues with the bathroom size

Well, the hating comments have been posted without much perspective of what the other halls are like! Tiny rooms and thin walls are just characteristic of London  the room sizes are inclusive of the ensuite bathroom, so even if in some other hall the bathroom is larger, the bedroom will be smaller. Maybe some places like Opal 4 or Manna Ash could be slightly more comfortable, but if you're willing to tough it out a bit, I'm sure that the location more than makes up for it  And we might be in the same room at Will Wyatt maybe! ^_^ Do we get to know our room numbers and flatmates once we accept the housing offer??

will Wyatt wasn't in my choices at all and i got it..i must say that I'm fine with it. I'm coming from Israel and to be honest i can't wait to get out of here and back to London. plus the accommodations could be way worse. I'm just happy i have a place to sleep lol.
one of my worries is that i read another discussion chain, and someone stated that there are not many boys at Will Wyatt.

Anyone going to LCC?

I lived in will wyatt the year just gone, and im telling you now, it is the worst place ive ever lived. living there made me soooooo ****ing miserable!

first of all the rooms are tiny, the desk space is tiny, so we always ended up doing work on the floors and kitchens, there are so many mice, the halls are so dirty because of them my flat mate actually got scabies, you can hear them running around in the gaps between your ceiling and floor above you, if your facing the courtyard any noise made ecoes and you can never get to sleep, courtyard or "garden" is always empty because they lock the door, in summers the heat is unbearable the winters the cold make you sick, the showers are tiny and the water is cold (luke warm so it feels like someone is pissing on you) the kitchens get SOOOOOOOOO hot, they dont have windows and when people are cooking it is like death! if you have people round its hell too, so no one has parties because its too hott and suffocating to have people round. the security are really anal (especially the Chinese one called "guy") they come into your flat when ever they feel like it, you have no privacy and they treat you like children, they come and tell you to tidy you rooms and kitchens when they want and charge you if you dont in 48 hours, they dont let you keep the kitchen or bedroom doors open and your not allowed to play music past 11. ive had numerous occasions where are 1am the security guards will just open your front door and stroll in and tell you off for having your kitchen door open (it gets really hot and stuffy) security is sooooooooooo strict, if your moving away from parents get ready to meet your new more boring anal parents that is management of will wyatt. a girl in our flat put a hot pan on the top surface and it made the TINIEST burn mark, im talking 10p spot, and they replaced the top surface without telling us and the made a communal charge of 900 between us that i now HAVE to pay. three other flats there are being charged about 1000 or so too for TINY marks that they dont think they even made! your not allowed to go in anyone else flat or block unless your own so NO ONE can ever meet or make friends, 80% of the people there are boring international ****e holes because they only accept them into halls because they know they are quite and well behaved and wont cause trouble, because the neighbors of the halls complain about noise to the police all the time (including the only ONE party that happened last year which was in our flat, that they made everyone leave and shut down at 1, which by the way all the people attended were not will wyattians because wyattians are dick heads and internationals and no one ever socialised in our eery quiet halls) , the walls are thin but the halls are sound proof. its gets sooooooooooooo boring there its unreal. as for the night life.... trust me you dont need to live in east to be around night life. buses take you everywhere and BELIEVE you me, you will not be able to afford going out in east every weekend, and you will soon get bored of it too! dont get sucked in by the area, its nice, but not worth it especially the amount you have to pay for it (which doesn't include internet which is about another extra 200), when you wont meet anyone in halls to go out with. will wyatt is 20 mins walk from don gratton, dude it makes no difference area wise where you go to. best halls are don gratton and bernard mayers.

ask anyone, i mean ANYONE who went will wyatt year just gone and see if you can find a single person that said they liked it. Good luck.
