Thanks guys!
I can't really consider the halls where you have to move out over the breaks because a)there is no way I can ask my mother to cart stuff to and from Bangor 6 times and b) I might not want to be at home for all of the Xmas and Easter breaks due to family problems. (Not my Mum, one of my siblings.)
I'm seriously not likely to drink much. I'm terrified of being sick so the most I have
ever had has been 5 vodkas and lemonades (well two double and one single) as I stopped when I felt tipsy. TBH drinking doesn't have a great appeal to me. Don't worry I am going to socialise (I've already figured out at least 4 societies I want to join) and I will go out, I just won't drink.... apart from St Patrick's Day but I'm spending that in Dublin (don't tell me I won't be able to afford it/whatever... a girl can dream! Will be going to Boston one year in the distance future for it as well. With a trip up to Toronto to pay homage in the broken toilet alleyway and go to McGinty's Bar (well McVeigh's is what it's called in real life).... I love the Boondock Saints....)
Anyhow, vegan food is generally dirt cheap (well it's more expensive when you use the meat/dairy/egg substitutes but I don't (apart from oat or rice milk in tea which is around £1.50 for a litre but lasts for a week when opened which is how long it takes me to use)) and seeing as the mothership will take me to a supermarket and do a £50+ish shop when I arrive (it's a thing she done for my siblings) and I'll use it to stock up on all the long-life stuff (lentils... lots of lentils, tins of pulses, pasta, rice etc. Oat milk! omg she can so buy me a load of oak milk for my tea.....)
Hmmmm... breeze blocks... as long as I can put posters up I can cope.. (although I doubt they'll accept my 150+ posters, calender pics (yes I'm sad) and postcard collection..)
I've spoken to my brother and he says that I won't cope in shared halls. He uses the cloakroom when he's back as it's near the spare room and it will be at least a month, more like three, before I will be able to use it again after he's gone. (Told you I have issues :P ) So shared probably won't be a good idea. Plus the shared halls are quite far away from Morrisons aren't they? (Morrisons and Tesco are my best bet for vegan food... well Sainsbury's is actually the best, followed by Tesco, then ASDA, then Morrisons, then M&S and then places like Aldi etc. Not sure yet how I'm going to cope without Sainsbury's
)
Are there any health food type shops in Bangor? Even a Holland and Barrett?
OK, if it is possible to survive on £72 a week then I should cope. Do you have any idea what Y Borth is like? I probably would be better off in a quiet block (again according to my brother who's done 5 years at uni and knows me pretty well).
EDIT: Just done a quick google and there's a Holland and Barrett and a Julian Graves but are there any independent health food shops?
