Short answer - yes, to both parts of your question. :yes: You'll need to take ID with you and it would be a good idea to download and complete the application form in advance.

Some small stations don't have staff on duty at ticket offices; Euston definitely should be fine.

It means a station with a ticket office that has people in it - basically anywhere that isn't tiny. Yes, Euston would fit the bill.
