Chemical Kinetics help?

I have this question about the kinetics of a reaction reaching equilibria and it asks to work out Kf.

Kf= forward reaction constant
Kb= backward reaction constant
Ke= rate constant at equilibrium = 0.0235

Ke = Kf + Kb
Kb=0.0235-Kf
Kf / Kb =2.125
hence Kf/0.0235 - Kf = 2.125

The answer for Kf is 0.016, however i can't seem to solve the last equation to get that answer, could someone go step by step on the last equation at how they got to that answer, please :smile:

well the last equation isn't right, if you put kf = 0.016 into it, you don't get 2.125 so you've done something wrong in your working somewhere
