Leeds Met Accommodation

I've just accepted Leeds Met as my first choice and I'm just wondering which accomodation I should apply for. My course is at broadcasting place so I'm thinking about somewhere like Opal, Carlton Hill, Mill street, Liberty park? (Not too bothered about 20 min walk to campus)
Which ones are best value for money/ people are sociable? I read somewhere that opal was hard to socialise with people? Dont know if this is true or not!- Just wondering about peoples expirences and views and where the best place to go is

Media, Communication and Culture! you?
I'm now considering the Plaza haha, worried it's less 'social' because it's like 'private' or something?

Sugarwell is about 15/20 minutes walk to broadcasting place roughly same time from opal/ liberty park

Carlton hill or plaza/sky plaza would be one of the closest but their is also broadcasting tower
http://www.broadcastingtower.com/ accommodation which is right next to b place.

As for private halls the only difference I have fount is that you have varied students as its open to uni of leeds students.. etc

Im in the same situation I cant decide between Liberty Park or The Plaza, have any of you seen either of them?

I've not seen liberty park but Plaza is actually a nice place to live and obviously central to the Uni's and the city centre

I went on the Accommodation tour but they only showed us Opal 1, I'd like to stay in Opal but apparently it's all full? I think £100-£110 a week is the most i'll pay!
Yeah I do like the look of the Plaza, I just want a decent flat with an en-suite in a building thats easy to make friends in

Ive got a friend that has just finished his 1st year there and said Opal was by far the best for socialising??
quick advice: i go to leeds met at the minute and stay in sugarwell, its like a 20/25 minute uphill walk to the city campus. Its not the best for the accommodation or socialising.. if you want to meet new people etc the best place for that is Opal one/two. Opal is much better in terms of the actual accommodation aswell... sugarwell is basic with a smallish kitchen with no sofas just wooden seats and a shared bathroom/ toilet which aren't too nice.. you get what you pay for

I'm doing Dietetics
I visited sugarwell today and didn't really like it so i have changed my accommodation now  I've chosen a private one and it's still just as sociable as you will still be with students

& i've chosen Liberty Park
Hey guys.

I know this might be a little late as most of the accomodation has been picked by now and not many left.

I've been in One Mill Street for nearly a year now. I've spoke to people from all over the different halls, every single one of them has said how much better Mill Street is for socialising, partys, ease of access.

If you've got any questions about it, I'm REALLY bored at work and remember trying to find stuff about halls when I was on here last year at this time, feel free to message me. x
