I have just finished foundation at CCW, I would HIGHLY recommend it over the rest of the UAL foundations. To be quite honest it dosnt matter where you do your foundation, its up to the individual to do the work. CCW got the highest score in the ofsted briefing this year. I specilised in Fashion and the tutors that we had were very supportive and helped students that wanted to work and students that allowed themselves to experiment. I have been offered a place from st martins for womenswear, and most people from our specilism got places there for textiles, knitwear and print while others got offers from kingston, westminster, London college of Fashion, and other reputable courses throughout the UK. To be quite honest it was the people who didnt work and the people who moaned throughout the course didnt get in anywhere. The course is very independent and you have to work very hard but the outcome is very rewarding. I had the best year of my life, the students are very friendly and reliable.
If I was to compare CSM with CCW I would say that CCW allow students to find their own way of working and encourage their students to be individual.
I wish people who are starting CCW foundation the best of luck and you will have an enjoyable experience like I had, and dont listen to people who moan obout it, because at the end of the day its up to you to do the work...
