]what would you get for 73/100

73/100 would be an A, but if you have 73/100 on this paper, it is possible to be brought up to an A* from the CALC paper.

A high 'A' Grade you'll need to get 90-100% for an A* overall in the Calc paper

can someone go through the simultaneous equation question with me. im sure i did it right and checked in the mathwatch cd and the method was right but my answer is wrong.
i dont remember the qestion exactly but this is what i did:
times the equations (i think the first on by 4 and the second by 5) and got both equations to have 20x. then subtracted equation 1 from 2. this cancelled the x's and leaft me with 23y=99 i think so y was 99/23.
then did the same to get x. ( i think times by 2 and other by 3) to get 6y and same method.
can someone please explain where i went wrong and if i got any marks, would help if you could post the question?
thanks

You should have got 23y = -46

The method was right so you would have got 2 or 3 marks

how did people get 170 for the median when it only went up to 90g?

It went up to 190 g
Do you have a copy of the paper you could upload in PDF format, with the answer annotated on?

Mr M again would appreciate it if you could answer this.

for 26b. i stretched the graph two places higher but not down would i get any marks?

for 24 i got 281 over 999 would i get any marks?

for 4 i never put mph in the key will i drop a mark?

for question 5 you say medicine, what was that question again?

Finally for question 25 i put something like r= sqr root of 27x over 3 pi, does this sound like i would of wrote any working out down that would grab a mark (i know its a ridiculous question for me to ask).

Thanks

Not sure what you mean by "stretched 2 places higher" - might be worth 1

24) maybe 1 mark for method

4) yes drop 1 mark

5) It was substituting into a formula to see how much medicine you should give to a child

25) yes that sounds like you *might* have got 1 mark

I put 120 minutes instead od 11 am for Q7 about the buses do you think will get both marks

If question 26. stated y=2(fx)

would you not have to shrink it? o_O

No. All the y values would be twice as big.

Does anyone have an idea about the grade boundaries?
Did anyone else find the paper hard or was I the only one?

Oh hah, okay my bad

I guess i was thinking y=f(2x) ?

Do you think 120 would be enough for an A?
