Hi everyone, i applied for the finance scheme, got my interview coming up tomorrow. Really nervous, when it comes to competency questions i tend to get nervous and mess up :frown:

Hi hope yours went ok. I have mine weds. Never done a purely competence based interview so v nervous also. Just hope I can get with the snow :wink:

Hi Guys

I need your help please!

I have my interview on Tuesday coming and I'm so confused!

The email I recieved recommends reading through the competencies on the Leadership Framework link...but on the Facebook NHS Grad Scheme page it says:

"at the interview we will ask you questions about your motivation to join the NHS and we will also be assessing you against the following competencies:

• Personal Qualities
• Working With Others"

So can someone please clarify are we tested on ALL competencies from the Leadership Framework or just motivation/personal qualities/working with others....this is not a fish for you telling me the questions! But I would like to know the competencies covered. And how many questions are there overall in the interview?

Help please! PLEASE!

Not had mine yet but Its the 2 competencies you mention. I'm sure if u look at the email again it will give you link but tell you those 2 areas. Hope this helps! Got mine wed and would also like to know how many questions.

Thank you so much for ur response! I asked on the FB NHS grad scheme page and they replied so I have had a closer look at my email *doh* and that is indeed the case!

oh and APPARENTLY there can be anything between 3-6 questions but dont quote me on this, I would think more 6, 2 on each topic xxx

You're welcome, you need to know what your studying for. Good luck for tues, where is you're interview, mine is Birmingham so just searching for hotel to stay in night before.

Mine is in Bham too...I'm just going to travel down on the day...its going to take me about 90minutes...due to issues getting the day off work I haven't even booked my train tickets yet! Can't bare the thought of paying to stay somewhere over night as well lol :smile:

I know what you mean. But my interview is fairly early and cant do with the added stress! Where are you coming from? Not booked my train tickets either...next job tonight! I am looking forward to it but also very nervous. Its nice to speak to someone in same position. I know the areas they are testing us on but not sure how they will phrase the Qs. Really really want this opportunity. Do you currently work in the NHS? Are you looking forward to it? x

I understand what u mean re:the added stress. Im coming from Yorkshire, I REALLY REALLLY want this opportunity too. I was feeling extremely calm, but all of a sudden I just feel so negative, I seriously dislike interviews and turn into a mess...but I'm comforting myself with the thought that if the interview does go bad, at least I will never have to meet these people again...! No I don't work in the NHS, I graduated September just gone, and I'm currently working in a bank. How about you? The questions should mainly be competency based so describe a situation when.../tell me a time when you.../give me an example of when you...x

Hello chaps,

I applied for the Informatics specialism and have an interview tomorrow at 13.00. I am so incredibly nervous I feel slightly sick! I think I've done enough prep, but I'm just terrified I'll cock it up on the day.

How were all of your interviews?

I'm not entirely happy with mine. I just keep thinking I have 1000 to best. I'm not optimistic. I think the next 3 weeks will really drag. :-(
