Doing Past Papers from Old Syllabus [OCR Gateway Science]

Hello,
At the moment, I am following the new syllabus- OCR Gateway (from 2011). However, as no one has sat any of the exams for this syllabus (I will be one of the first to do so), there is only a Specimen paper. So, I was thinking whether I should do the past papers from the old OCR Gateway (from 2006) syllabus. Is this a good idea?

Old syllabus (from 2006): Biology, Chemistry, Physics

New syllabus (from 2011): Biology, Chemistry, Physics

Definitely, there's actually very little that has changed - more just the order of things as I understand. eg nanochemistry was in C4 and is now in C2 iirc. I would have your syllabus to hand and look for questions from all the modules of the legacy papers that cover the material in the new syllabus.
