Some people are provocative at times, in Earsldon I've experienced a couple of comments directed at me, either to provoke me or otherwise.

I've never experienced it, so I can't say - if I'm taking the 12 in the morning from Leam I catch it at 0807 for a 9am, so I usually miss the rush (and the next 12 will arrive on campus too late) - there are 4 U12s between 0813 and 0830 that will get you to campus before 9. Obviously, people are lazy and will normally leave until the last minute, hence the buses are full.

Yeah, getting the bus in Kenilworth, I have found that there's always plenty of space - I've never had to stand or have the bus go past full. Although the downside is they only go roughly every 30 minutes so it's annoying if I miss one.

I suppose if the buses from Leamington go that frequently then it wouldn't make much difference if they sometimes go past full, so hopefully that shouldn't be a problem.

Working further down, you have Tile Hill - Sainsbury's bus stop - you will wait for ages here sometimes.


Gotta say: I'm in tile hill at the moment, and I would laugh at ANYONE who used this bus stop. Who uses this bus stop, seriously? It's only 25 minutes walk from campus! Can people not walk that far? Why spend hundreds on a bus pass if you're getting the bus from this stop!?

I wonder what kind of neighbourhoods some people grew up in if they think that Canley is rough. I'm a girl, 5 foot 4, and me and my friends have been wandering around Canley for the last two years with absolutely no problems whatsoever. South Leam intimidates me way more than Canley does. Proper dodgy there!

Coventry is like Disneyland compared to London. If you think Canley is rough you would get eaten alive in Peckham after dark.

I know!! I lived on New Cross Road before I moved to Warwick.

It just makes me laugh when anyone tries to say Canley is rough. It's a perfectly nice little family suburb as far as I'm concerned! I really despair at the thought that there are people who refuse to leave their houses at night in Canley! So pathetic.
Is the Tesco on the Parade really the only one in Leam?

I'm going to be looking at some properties tomorrow and in order to reach them I need to take the number 12 bus to Sainsbury's. I've looked up the timetable but I can't work out which stop's the Sainsbury's one:

It's not listed on there:

this is the route that bus is taking, Sainsbury's is at E, it's between the two stops at 'Earlsdon Library' and 'Warwick Uni'.

There is a Bus stop between those two (at point E) called either Fletchamstead Highway, or Herald Avenue.
If you click on here http://nxbus.co.uk/routes/coventry/C012/ and select 'map view', you can see the stops.




Also: Which properties are you viewing? Are they on Warwick Accommodation? Because if you need to get off at Sainsbury's then there's a very very high chance that you might be looking around my house tomorrow haha!

For looking up the times, the Sainsbury's stop will be between Warwick university and Earlsdon library.

If you're getting the bus from the university, the bus will go past Westwood, through a residential area, onto a main road/dual carriageway, then it will pass through a business park - you'll go past a Dominoes, casino, Blockbuster, McDonalds, KFC etc. When you pass these and turn right off the main road, ring the bell and the next stop will be just across the road from the Sainsbury's.

Ah you're just around the corner! Nice road, NO PARKING WHATSOEVER though. so beware if you're bringing a car. We're on Tile Hill Lane, and the Parking is so bad on Eastcotes that we end up parking 3 or 4 minutes away!!!

If you're going from campus, you don't need to get the bus, it's only a half-hour walk from central campus really. Good luck!

None of us drive so it's not really a problem tbh. Only 30 mins? That's pretty good - looked a bit longer on the Accommodation Website but I think we'll get the bus anyway, just for the experience.

edit: Just so you know I would +1 your post but it's not letting me - thanks for the info!

Walk for half an hour? D: What do you think this is, the 16th century?
Is it easy to transfer between course in Warwick. For example Maths to Physics ; maths to chemistry; maths to biochemistry.

I have applied for MORSE and Maths but now i'm not sure if I want to do straight maths:frown:

Anyone experienced with transfering????

I haven't had first hand experience but I know two people who have transferred from Maths to Physics and from Maths to Classics. It's definitely possible, but I can't comment on just how "easy" it is.
Maths to Classics? Wow. Didn't know a jump that radical was possible!

It's harder if you're changing departments for sure. Last year I was doing French and Italian Studies and now I'm doing straight up Italian - it was just a case of my head of department chucking me out of the department and readmitting me and letting the French dept know they didn't need to worry about me any more for modules or what have you. So that was easy.

Best bet is to just email and ask the relevant admissions tutors/heads of department/course secretaries/etc and see what's possible :smile:
