Heart Problem?
I can feel my heart beating strongly most of the time, sometimes extremely hard - like now (I've just stood up and walked up some stairs
).
I also get chest pains (only in the centre/left side of my chest), although they're not too bad. But its the kind of pain that feels like it could worsen if I were to, I dunno, perform some sort of action. Perhaps if I became out of breath or started coughing?
I've been like this for perhaps the past week, but it has become more noticeable within the past couple of days.
I have an ache on the inside of my right elbow and occasionally on my bicep. I also have had sore tonsils for the past couple of days. Although I don't think any of this is connected, is it?
I'm active, I exercise enough and my diet is pretty good. I don't think it's stress or anxiety because, although I was slightly stressed about coursework last week, well I've handed it all in now and I still feel the same/worse. I'm 16 btw.
What the ****?
p.s. I would go to the hospital but I don't wanna wait hours to find out that I'm fine. -

I think pain with breating/coughing can be ribs, lungs(?) or muscular
with the heart beat that can be palpatations which can be normal and people can have them for a while without any other problems.
Its worth a visit to your GP, maybe get some tests done etc -
Re: Heart Problem?I hate palpatations. They sometimes happen if I breathe at an odd timing to my heartbeat.. Completely takes the breath out of me!(Original post by anna_spanner89)

Re: Heart Problem?Would you rather wait for hours to find out that there is something seriously wrong?(Original post by be nimble)

If you are worried make an appoitment with your GP. Aspecially if it seems to be getting worse rather then better. -
Re: Heart Problem?Venture to ITU/CCU or any other area with patients on cardiac monitors and you will probably find at least one patient with ocassional ectopics. They are not such a fraquent finding on a short strip ECG as you need to catch patient at the right time. If you do an ECG after your patient had a coffee and a ciggy you are more likely to see some.(Original post by anna_spanner89)
really? I've only read about them really. -
