There are tonnes of better indian films that come out that aren't superhyped simply because they're directed by a white guy and have translations at the bottom

I watched just before it finished its run in cinemas, so I had heard all the hype and oscar stuff. Needless to say I expected a lot but I was also prepared to be disappointed. I have to say I wasn't and I think that it was very good film. Although 2 hours long it didn't drag the story out and make it any longer than it needed to be. Yes there was a lot of slumdog before you get to the millionaire, but that side of India is fascinating.
