30-40 by train or car? By car or train Birmingham is 20 minutes; it's virtually on the doorstep (I drove to the NEC in 12 minutes; trains depart every few minutes). There are more motorways close to Coventry: M40/M42, M6 M69 (M1). London is 1hr 05 minutes by train-- the train is frequent at one every 10-20 minutes.

As a local the trains are dreadful. Birmingham to Worcester Foregate Street is once an hour.
