I just don't particularly want to meet hammered folk in the afternoon.
You sound like a right barrel of fun

I get the subway every day also, and can assure YOU that it isn't busy for the best part of the day, only in the mornings and around 5-6 when folk are going home from work. Being drunk isn't illegal, we're not going to cause any trouble, we're just going to have a good time. Being drunk in the afternoon isn't any worse than being drunk at night, I don't even know why you're still replying and on this thread, if you're not even going!

If you're not going to come or make any decent points without talking utter *****, please refrain from posting on this thread.

I am, actually. And at least I don't need to lower myself to personal attacks. Being drunk and disorderly is illegal. Making a nuisance in a public space is also going to cause trouble for you and your group.

I started by offering some sage advice, both to help you and other members of the public. I have never heard of anyone taking twelve hours to do a subcrawl.

Yeah the key part being disorderly. We're not going to be doing anything disorderly, we're going to go from stop to stop having a good time, not picking fights or anything like that.

Your advice, as 2 people have already said, is clearly wrong, there's no way you can do a subcrawl starting at 8 o'clock. I said a 11-12 meeting time, the last one I was invited to started at 11.30. 15 pubs and travelling time in between requires a decent amount of time, 4 hours ISN'T enough. This way we can have the whole day and not rush about doing it, therefore having a good laugh. As I said, two people have already agreed that you're method is clearly a load of pish and you won't get it done in that time.

We can go on arguing about pointless stuff that isn't going to change anything that we're doing, or you can stop posting on this thread. Preferably that.

How long does it take you to drink 15 pints? Say you will take an hour and a half worth of traveling/finding the pub/getting drinks then thats only 45 mins a pint. That's not that long for one pint if your going to have 14 more.

You don't even know everyone who is going, never mind what they will be like whilst under the influence! You cannot possibly say what is going to happen. I have managed to complete one starting at 7.30pm. So it quite clearly is possible to do.

^^ When I did we were in small groups racing the other groups to get to the end (a specific club). It was perfectly possible to drink your beverage of choice and move on.

I've been on numerous sub crawls in my time. If you were to race round each stop (and I mean race) then 15mins per stop is probably doable with a bit of luck if there isn't too many of you. Order a vodka coke, chin it, move on. If there's a crowd and running between stops isn't your thing, it'll take longer- but half a day is pushing it. Those kind of subcrawls tend to stagnate and people drift away 15-20 minutes per bar then another 10-15 or so travelling between them is ample. You can do it comfortably in a group of 20 people if you start around 3pm-ish, and that's our usual starting out time. Maybe I'm getting old, or maybe some of the bars are crap, but the eight stops on one side of the river are the best bet in my book- get doubles. You'll be drunk, no one will be bored, and it can be done leisurely in 4-5 hours.

Yeah, we were racing in small groups of three-four (there was a prize of decent monetary value for an incentive). Starting sometime after rush hour and it'd be fine.
