I'm hoping to go on a last minute trip to Paris, or somewhere else in France for a few days, so I can cram some travel in before a few other events come up this month.

The only thing is I'm on a pretty tight budget, and all my searches so far for relatively cheap hotels or hostels haven't really given me much to go on.

I'd be really grateful if anyone knows of any hotels/hostels like this, preferably in Paris (due to the way I'm travelling), or anywhere in France, or even if anyone's done a similar low-budget trip and how they managed it!

I went to Paris, brilliant city, great atmosphere, great bars/restaurants, the landmarks are amazing. The Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, Versailles, Notre Dame. I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

Sorry I can't help you with a cheap hotel though.

The youth hostel I stayed in (le d'Artagnan) was something like €20 a night, with breakfast included. It was OK, although it was in a pretty dingy area, especially at night.

it's the other bits of paris which make me go there 6 times a year

Aw I love paris. Was there in summer. I stayed at a hotel just a minute from the moulin rouge. Was like £80 a night. Was great. There were sex shops, shows everywhere!!
