I just can't believe that 6 weeks has gone by so fast, since first starting the access course full time. It just shows that if you work hard and keep it up, time will fly by. Once we starting getting the credits from marked coursework, it will actually feel like we are all getting somewhere.

So true, I am waiting with baited breath for my first marks. Your title made me laugh.....that is one way of looking at it, I have a friend at college who had made a tally of the weeks at home. She keeps crossing them off, every Tuesday she says eg. "5 weeks done, 31 to go"!

It's been so fast! I agree! I'm glad in a way but as soon as half term is over it will be even more full on and dead serious.

ive got two years to go, but i'm looking forward to getting my first assignment's grade. The saying "time flys when your having fun" seem to be right on the mark. That being said i'm a little apprehensive about the oral presentations; i don't know when the are but it still makes me a little edgy know that they are coming.

I know, it's scary and exciting at the same time! I'm starting to get comfy at college as I like the pace, I don't want to be shoved out at the end of the year to go to stupid uni

I got the result of my first Biology assignment just before half term, it was broken down in to 2 parts - an essay and an exam. I got a merit in the essay and distinction in the exam! I was so shocked!
I had to hide my excitement though as a lot of people in my class got ungraded
I really hope I can keep up that standard, I worked so hard on it. I also handed in a couple of assignments before half term, but I won't know how I did until the middle of next week. Fingers crossed!

My friend who did an Access course last year gave me a tip for oral presentations (I'm terrified of them too), create a hand-out of some sort to give out to everyone before you start speaking. That way they'll look at the sheet of paper and not stare at you!

Well done...they have told us that distinctions are gonna be "as rare as hens teeth". I am waiting for some marks after half term too, my first assignment was an oral presentation in History, which I think is a bit cruel. At least it is out of the way!

Update. I did nothing! lol but luckily I was stricken with a sickness which means I got a few days to actually put some effort in.
