. I actually dislike the NFL & NBA for the most part because of the terrible attitudes of the players. I can't stand the whole thug attitude, but finally both leagues are starting to reform their standards on that front.
Don't know about the NFL, but the NBA has been pretty thug free for several years now ever since they really cracked down it around the turn of the decade. Not to say you get as many wholesome types as you do in college basketball, but unfortunately that's almost unwatchable because the game interruptions and advertising breaks are even more ridiculous than at NBA level.

Yeah I totally agree about the advertising, drives me up a freaking wall.
I was actually complimenting the recent measures taken by the leagues to clean up the acts. The NBA has done better than the NFL so far; no more headphones before games, wear a suit and tie to the arena etc...just stuff that you should be doing anyway when you're, you know, showing up for a job that pays millions. Take it seriously for christ's sake!
The NFL on the other hand is trying...but they still have more flagrant hotheads (i.e. Chad "OchocincoI'mADouchebag" Johnson, Terrell Owens etc.) getting their names in the paper for stupid ****. Then again they've got even more people setting great examples with good work ethics too (Big Ben Roethlisberger, the Manning brothers, Troy Polamalu) , so it's really just down to cracking the whip and not letting punk attitudes slide. IMO they've been too lenient with their punishments. People like Michael Vick just should never have been allowed back in the league, period.

Yeah the Michael Vick thing was pretty disturbing. I don't know if this is really a factor, but the NFL has about four times as many players as the NBA so the number of bad apples is going to be higher in absolute terms. Of course that doesn't excuse turning a blind eye to delinquent behaviour.
Oh, and to the thread in general: I echo the sentiment that actually going to a ball park on a nice day is a great experience, but I've yet to discover the appeal of televised MLB. I think I watched the 2006 World Series on channel 5 once and it was about 2 in the morning and I was half asleep anyway and found the comatose combination of the slow action on the field with the measured, subdued commentary very soothing, but I can't see myself watching a whole game for any reason other than to induce some kind of soporific stupour.

This.
Plus, I love going out to just play a game of catch or hit a few balls, that's a lot of fun...but I just can't understand how people sit around and watch it all the time.

Ahh haha well thank you very much I appreciate it! It's always nice when people actually bother to take a look at that stuff
Yea your lyrics have a really sophisticated flow, kind of a like a good old-school rap song, just not rap. And your playing and voice are great too. Anyway, I'll stop now.
