Default When do you ask what salary you will receive?

Hi, I don’t want to sound like in the interviews that the money is the main reason for me applying to work at a particular bank so when is best to ask what salary they will offer you? Advice would be appreciated….

They tell you when you get an offer, which is soon enough to know really.

The objective of all interviews is get an offer. Once you receive an offer - the offer letter will have the salary on it. So now the ball is in your court
1) If like it you accept it.
2) if you do not like it - call them and say it is not enough Or reject it.

Or realise that compensation is much more to do with bonus than base salary.

it'll be in your contract anyway,. and they may even discuss it with your hours, so don't worry. Don't ask in the interview, because if you doin't like pay with contract you can reject, but if you don't get it because they thought you were all about something else i.e. the money....

Aren't you a little Bonaparte with your delusions of grandeur. You are an intern/analyst and for the first x years you are a ******* cost centre. If you ring them up and start bitching about salary they'll rightfully laugh in your face and tell you to **** off.

People with SMALL MIND will usually have no offer or may be one offer - then your experience is very valid.

Did you get any education?

Knowledge does not have to come through personal experience......
Your couple month experience does not speak a lot does it other then pure arrogance?

Thank you - I am sure I will do well. But I do worry and feel pity for some pseudo IB experts

And his arrogance continues.......I find this thread amazing too - I am under impression that UNIV education makes people wiser, logical minded etc - but looks like it is not true for everyone.

I wish 'uthinkilltellu' good luck - as he needs it.....

Your impression is mistaken - but uthink doesn't need your luck he's doing fine by himself.

The answer to the OP is that banking salaries are fairly set - there's some variation but not enough to make it worthwhile. Some banks which pay more do so because they are weaker, not because they're better.
