Default Standard Chartered- potentially superthick question

Ok this MIGHT be a really stupid question, and i might have completely overlooked it

So i want to apply for internship in standard chartered aswell (in particular, even though i live in UK, my parents are based in singapore so i can work there too)

http://www.standardchartered.com/car...plication.html

But it seems they don't do internships? Or what? Wholesale banking and consumer relations for applications?
Don't they have an investment banking division

Ok, sorry if this is really stupid of me, i should really probably know more, but ive been searching around and its stumping me right now.

hey, it makes more sense to apply for singapore than UK, i attended one of their company presentations and they aim to recruit 5 people for UK next year
I applied as well but you can imagine what the chances are )

good luck!

OH jeez 2 languages?

Also i have found their "internships" page just by searching on google but it seems there is no actual way to get to that internships page from the main careers site? (as a result the javascript functions on the site fails because you arn't supposed to link directly to it)

http://www.standardchartered.com/car...s/internships/

Seeing as this link exists, but there is no way to get to it, and their apply button is broken...

StanChar don't really do investment banking. What they have (known as wholesale banking) is akin to what Lloyds Banking Group do. Whilst they offer M&A, capital markets and secondary markets execution, most of their wholesale banking profits come from transaction banking (doing stuff like: cash management, securities services, trade services and treasury services). And that's probably where most of their graduates will be based.

With regards to internships, as 90% of their business comes from Asia, most of their internships might take place in Asia and there they might have the US-esque recruiting system as in people apply through their school application portal rather than apply through the bank's website.

You might email them to get a better clarification on the above points.
