In Wolfson there are tons of people from inside London while I know of international students that didn't receive an offer. Like I said its a lottery, which is the only fair way, otherwise who knows if race/gender/age/course of study ect could effect allocations.
Apply. Simple.
Bonus advice - don't take any advice from student rooms (love the hypocracy?)
Maybe you should look into the UPDATED system now before you make such comments? From next academic year, the system will be altered in such a way, that non-Londoners will get more of a chance in the allocation system. It used to be random IN THE FIRST BALLOT, that is right, although due to the many problems experienced with that, it is subject to change.
