Does anyone know what happens on Bonfire Night in the city?

Me and my flatmates are looking for somewhere to go for fireworks, bonfires and general toffee apple munching and frivolity. Preferably with alcohol.

Any clues?

not quite sure, there is sometimes something down by asda i think? and the cathedral maybe?

The Lincoln FC football ground is hosting a fireworks night of some sort. The ground is fairly big and has covered stands, which could make viewing flying fireworks slightly difficult. But I don't know the gritty details about the whole thing.

EDIT: Wow, I managed to miss the much bigger Bonfire Night thread. I'm a moron.

EDIT II: Actually, no, I deem this thread to be more appropriate since the other one is 3 years old and contains very little useful information. Much like this post, it has to be said.

Yeah we saw that the other day - we might be going, but I don't know how we'll get home. It's 4 miles away and the last buses either way are at about 6pm :/ might just taxi it back, between 4 of us it won't be so bad.

If you order your taxi from Riseholme Campus it's 5.50, so split between 4 its not much at all

Well I do have a car but there's two of us already going and erm... well it's a 2 door corsa and it's slightly illegal but you're welcome to join lol (if you're all not claustrophobic...)
