I joined the RAF as an officer with a 2.2 in business. For graduates with a three year degree it pays 24.5K during training and 30K after you finish. Due to various stand down days, etc. I've ended up with 42 days holiday this year aswell. That is including bank holidays, though.

there are plenty of people with 2.2s in good/well paying jobs, just like there are plenty of people with 2.1s in not so good or well paying ones. There are people with no degrees who earn more than any of these for example as IT contractors on 400 or 500 a day.

The market is bad. The majority of graduates WHATEVER their degree and WHEREVER they graduate from have to pay their dues in menial/admin/'non graddy' jobs.

this thread is full of rubbish.

A degree doesnt really mean a whole lot, most of time in the real world much more than being an expected box tick, be it 1st or 3rd.
