does anyone know of anywhere that accepts people who only have AS levels because thay dropped out of school early? I mean surley if they did it on ucas points as long as you have enough they would accept you? Ive got 240 points atm but i just really cba to carry on but i do really want to go to uni tho. i could just do the subject i what to study at uni i suppose?

You might qualify for a Foundation degree, but otherwise you will need at least 2 A2s or equivalent to get in. AS levels are not enough, even if you have a lot of points from them. If I were you, I would ditch the 'cba' bit and get on with your A2s. And you will need to do more than just the subject you are applying for. Why would someone with 4 A grade ASs and one A level be an attractive candidate? They wouldn't be.

The rest of us have to "ba". Why shouldn't you? Heck I hate school! You'll need at least 2 A-levels.
For example, Wolverhampton uni (about 100th in the league tables) ask for 220-240 points including a minimum of 180 points from two full 6-unit awards or one full 12-unit award to study BSc Psychology there. So that's basically 2 A2 levels or one freakily massive long A2 level. To be honest, without any A2 levels you're really not going to stand out in a sea of candidates with something like 2As and an A* at A2...even if you apply for the "worst" unis, most people are going to have 3x A2 levels.

If you can't be bothered doing your A levels properly then why are you even thinking about university?

The whole point of applying for a degree and going to university is so that you can spend 3 or 4 years studying something you love, getting into a hell of a lot of debt and being very stressed in the process. If you can't be bothered with just finishing your A levels I would seriously reassess if university is actually for you at all otherwise you're in for a tough time if/when you get there!

Open University? If you can't be arsed with A levels can you really be arsed with university? It's quite a step up. If you just want the 'student life' then there are cheaper ways of doing it lol.

If you cba doing one year of school, which really isnt anything, then you wont be set out for a few years at uni

nah, i kid. OP, i have a friend who completely ****** up his ASes last year and is retaking the whole of year 12, and off to uni the same year as us. he's applied to uni in the states though; apparently quite a few good unis there take you in with only ASes. your ASes are good as well so if you have a ridiculously large amount of money to spare then that's what i would suggest.

Aberdeen will accept those with just AS's but the minimum requirement is aabb
